Great publicity isn't it?  Don't you think if this was you fighting this type of lawsuit you'd want to know how the opposition against you is being faked?  But what if you were the one faking it?  Please explain to me why these people have the money they have so they're hiring young inexperienced lawyers who don't have a clue about censorship cases?  Wouldn't you hire the best censorship attorney's to represent you if you were being attacked?

Does anyone remember when the auto industry was involved with collusion accusations back in the 1970's?  My internet was down for a few days so I was renting videos to keep myself busy.  I rented "The Nice Guys" thinking it was just a silly comedy.  Only as I'm watching it I'm seeing it's not just a silly comedy, but actually talking about some really serious issues.  I remember the whole thing about collusion and the big auto companies not wanting to install catalytic converters in cars in California.

I also remember when I used to hear smog alerts when I was a kid growing up in LA.  I even remember when I'd go outside and try and play on those days my chest would actually start to hurt.  Do you know I had a scan done on my lungs about 15 years ago.  They told me I had lung damage like a smoker only I don't smoke.  The whole lower half of my left lung is damaged and I've never smoked a day in my life.  I did grow up in LA though in the 1960's before catalytic converters.

Did anyone check out what was going on with those threats against Emma Stone?  Remember how there was all this press about her supposedly being threatened?  I know no one would have even heard about her speaking at the UN if not for the stories about the threats against her.  Only it turned out to have been manufactured by her PR firm she'd hired!  Oh how embarrassing, but it reveals tactics Hollywood loves to use to generate publicity.  That of controversy.

I had my own radio show for a while on KROCK radio.  I had two producers on the show.  One of them was aspiring for bigger markets.  He kept telling me how I needed to create an imaginary fight between my so called associate and I.  He wanted me to call her a competitor instead of an associate.  Instead of her and I respecting each others work, he kept trying to get her and I to have some kind of feud between us in the press.  Oh she went for it lock, stock and barrel.  Even started leaving death threats and dead chickens on my doorstep.  The death threats were supposed to give my show more press.

When I first found out the attacks against Backpage where being faked, I thought they'd want to know about that.  So I started contacting their attorney's.  When I'd explain to them what was going on, suddenly I'd see a new attorney handling the Backpage lawsuits.  Young, inexperienced attorney's who didn't have a clue what was going on.  I even saw a motion filed by non-parties to the case yet Backpage attorney's weren't objecting.  Nor were they demurring over the fact the servers for Backpage are in another country over which we in the USA don't have any jurisdiction.

If Backpage's servers were down, they'd be down.  Just like the sites that are shut down by the Justice Dept. for piracy.  They wouldn't be up telling you they're down.

Let's just look at this logically for a moment here.  Carl owns legal brothels in Amsterdam.  The same legal brothels the windows district was trying to shut down in 2007 because they were complaining it was attracting organized crime.  I also know what the calls into my hotline tell me about what happens when someone tries to leave these organizations.  I've seen what happens to those who leave these organizations and try to continue working in the industry over the years.

Now if you owned legal brothels why would you want to support your own competition which is Backpage?  Why should someone go to work for you when they can advertise themselves without a middleman?  What alternatives are there to the legal brothels without Backpage?  They've criminalized buying sex outside of the legal brothels.  This way they've "trained" the clients to stay safe and use only the legal outlets.

Or might you not buy up Backpage like Carl did, gather all of the information on who is working in the industry that's not working for you, and then corral them into working for you or otherwise be shut down?  The sex industry is an industry.  Take a look at how the tobacco, alcohol, even the fashion industry operates.

I watched a fascinating documentary once on a fashion editor who wanted to start her own magazine and what happened to her.  She found no one would work for her because they were all being blackmailed by a bigger dog than her.  Sure everyone told her they'd support her new venture until it actually came time to do so.  Then she found all of those "friends" of hers who had been encouraging her wouldn't lift a finger to help her because they were afraid for their own jobs.  It's a fascinating documentary on the fashion industry and you think the sex industry is any different?

I've been a paralegal for 30 years now.  I know how the courts and the law works.  I know someone can't file a motion on a case unless they're a party to that lawsuit.  Yet I'm seeing reporters report on this motion which was filed like it's real.  But then again it's not against the law to lie in the media anymore either.  Not since Fox vs. Snopes.  Snowden has changed his life forever to alert the public they're being lied to and deliberately mislead by the media.

We are watching the modern version of Prohibition and the turf wars only instead of this being the alcohol industry it's the sex industry.   Follow the money.  Think.  Remember even the Koch brothers were trying to get people to join the Tea Party thinking this party was for the "little people".  But when you followed the money you knew good and well it wasn't the little people.  When Rolling Stone alerted us to the scam, they came after them with both barrels.  You think I"m not having people coming after me trying to shut me up think again.  Why do you think my internet went down for a few days?

What she left out of this conversation is that the HIV/AIDS epidemic right now in the USA is in SEX WORKERS.  They spent a fortune to bring over people from another country to promote a "stay faithful" campaign here in the states?  Are you kidding me?  In 1987, I organized the first outreach project to sex workers ever done.  We did testing, education and training of sex workers - male, female and transgender.  Sites were set up for those who wanted to leave but had a pimp stopping them.  We were able to extract them from the pimp so they could stop hooking if they wanted to.  When we started - sex workers in Los Angeles had an 80 % infection rate.

At the end of one year, the rate had dropped to 6 %.  That was LOWER than that of NON-SEX WORKERS!  The campaign also asked law enforcement to stop using condoms as "evidence of prostitution".  I pointed out we can't be asking them to use protection on one hand and then arresting people for prostitution if we're finding a condom.  Massage parlors weren't even having condoms on site because that would get them raided for prostitution.  So we had to get the cops to stop using condoms as incriminating evidence.  We worked hard to get that and now it's all shot to shit because they're using it as evidence again!  So I'm calling to start organizing an HIV/AIDS outreach for Valentine's Day coming up in February.  Give your lover the gift of knowing - get tested and get the vaccine!  If I could get you a free home HIV/AIDS test kit - where would you like one sent?

Letter to the Guardian about a False Story Ran on Sex Trafficking

I'm writing to let you know of an experience which is sadly becoming a very common place thing in respect to the field of modern sex trafficking illustrated by the article you published here

I run  Our program, and hotline, was originally launched in 1987 as "Prostitutes Anonymous".  When we launched, it was because of the fact modern sex trafficking was viewed in much the same manner as that of alien abduction is viewed then and today.  I say that because if you were to call the police and report you were being sold and/or trafficked back then into the industry against your will, and also asking for help to escape, as well as resources to help you recover physically, mentally and spiritually from what you'd just been through - they would react to you the same as if you were to call up asking for help to escape the little green men kidnapping you at night.  No resources to provide escape and/or recovery from such a thing existed because it was viewed as non-existent as the idea of needing to create an exit and restoration system for people kidnapped by aliens.

Literally no laws existed for such a thing, no other hotline, safe houses, or even any kind of training for therapists on how to help one deal with life after such an experience existed anywhere.  I know as I spent years looking for such help only to be alternatively accused of either being as "crazy" as someone who was claiming aliens were abducting them at night, or meeting with a wall of "who cares what happens to a whore" attitudes.

Back then we had a record number of serial killers targeting prostitutes with bodies piling up like cords of wood while the police wouldn't even lift a finger to investigate any tips.  I had taken a girlfriend of mine into the HIllside Strangler Task Force offices a year before they caught the two cousins responsible who had been stabbed 51 times by them with their names, address, phone number, along with physical descriptions only to find ourselves literally thrown out of their office.  When I asked "why?" I was told by the Chief it was "because we can't get a warrant based on the word of a whore".  We were viewed not as "victims" back then - but purely and solely as "criminals" period.

Prior to the first TV appearances we made trying to enlighten the public about the subject, and to promote our hotline, the public scoffed at the very idea.  If you look at films such as "Thoroughly Modern Millie" from 1968 - you'll see Hollywood was making musical comedies about the very idea of a boarding house ran by Asians who would drug and sell American women to opium dens as prostitutes.  Books like the "Happy Hooker" and musicals like "Best Little Whorehouse in Texas" created an image to the world of prostitution being nothing but a "happy place" involving nothing more than sex for money between two consenting adults.

To convince America this problem was real enough to lead to us achieving federal recognition of it for the first time with the passing of the Trafficking Act of 2000 - I had to lay bare my life for examination so people could believe I was not only telling the truth, but I had to further turn down over a $1,000,000 in publishing and film deals in order to prove I wasn't "making up stories to sell books" as Linda Lovelace had been accused of doing when she tried to raise public awareness about this issue back in 1980 when she released her book "Ordeal".   In fact, I went onto the Joan Rivers talk show in 1992 to show the million dollars in offers and then tear up the contracts for the camera to show "getting the truth out about this problem" was "more important to me to do than make money".

Which is why I'm becoming more and more deeply disturbed by the increasing process of "fictionalizing" or "catfishing" of sex trafficking victims for various purposes.  The first one I remember was a person going by the name "Stella Marr" who was creating a supposed support group for survivors called "Survivors Connect".  Her goal was to get information for a research project and to locate whether or not any survivors existed in the USA who weren't already members of our organization who would be willing to say things politically about the subject that were counter to our beliefs.

For example, we believe the best way to fight sex trafficking and to prosecute traffickers is to fully decriminalize prostitution.  Only by removing the fear of self-incrimination will you get those closest to the problem willing to come forward to the police to make a report, and even testify against the more dangerous sex traffickers.  We believe "johns" are the first ones to know where sex trafficking is operating and to arrest them only supports the criminal operation.  Much as how during Prohibition the alcoholic wouldn't give up their source in fear of not only themselves being arrested but also losing their source of alcohol.
When Stella was exposed as a complete fabrication, she disappeared only to be replaced by Samoly Mam.  She reports being approached by reporters promising her "fame and fortune" if she was also willing to spout ideas on the subject counter to what many real life modern survivors commonly believe is needed to combat the problem, and to help victims find recovery.  The press and donations she siphoned away from real programs doing real work trying to pass along real knowledge about how it operated, and how best to also shut these operations down.

Another complete fabrication came along with the franchise "Taken".  The man this story was based upon was later arrested for impersonating a military officer for the purposes of raising money.  As a result of this Hollywood work of fiction - whenever I'd talk to people about "organizing a rescue operation" they would have images of Liam Neeson kicking in doors, loading guns, and being something which only happens in places other than within the USA's borders.  This fabrication actually frightened many people from even thinking of getting involved in helping victims or fighting sex trafficking for fear of being shot by mobsters - further siphoning off needed resources and support to help us.

Lately more and more of these fabrications are coming out in the media as a form of advertising such as in the story your paper published about the "first survivor to get a scholarship for survivors" at Loma Linda University in San Diego.   When I read the news about the scholarship supposedly becoming available to survivors, I contacted them immediately because the release was false.  They were NOT the "first" people to offer such a scholarship for one thing.  The other was my thoughts if there was another scholarship available now for adults then I knew of a few of our members who would love to be able to apply for the scholarship.  My inquiries however were completely blown off.

When I dug deeper I learned the "university" existed in the living room of a two bedroom apartment in San Diego.  As I pushed harder to find out on where survivors could apply for the scholarship I learned the whole story was a complete fabrication.  So you can imagine my surprise when I read about supposedly the first "graduate" from this scholarship as talked about in your story.   I reached out to find this woman to interview her for - a source of audio interviews we provide to members who are incarcerated to keep them focused on their recovery who can't attend regular meetings - only to find out she was also a complete fabrication.

Further, the reporter who wrote the story and was pretending to be a "survivor" and the "graduate" of the scholarship, had actually called up our hotline falsely claiming to be a victim in need of help for "research" purposes completely wasting my time.  You have to understand we don't apply for any grants, hold any fund raisers, nor charge anyone for what we do.  All of our work is done entirely by "volunteers" who do it for their own recovery purposes such as AA does it to stay sober.

So I, along with other members of SWA, were taking time out of their spare time to answer the call of this person who was completely wasting our time, and time we could have been spending on other "real" members in need of our help.  All of which was being taken up by her of us simply to write a story which promoted a program out of Florida who DOES rely upon grants and fund raising using such publicity for such purposes.

Meaning I frankly could care less if they want to write completely fabricated stories about the issue and fake scholarships and such they use to generate donations for their program who I have no idea what they actually do in reality - but when they're sucking up our time, products and resources in order to do so I consider it a form of not only fraud but outright theft no different than shop lifting.  It also gives a completely false idea to the public the only thing survivors need to recover from such ordeals is a degree which is 180 degrees apart from the truth.

The truth is that most modern survivors of sex trafficking within the USA could have a fully paid for PhD under their belt and most won't be able to get a job at a local convenience store with it because of their past.  I say that because the modern American sex traffickers promote their victims, and protect themselves and their customers from law enforcement, through the use of pornography.  Pornography easily found online when potential job interviewers are doing background checks on applicants.

I have questioned 10 companies who loudly promote they "offer scholarships to sex trafficking victims" if they would hire these same survivors once they obtained their training if this survivor had nude pornographic images of themselves found online which they couldn't get removed and/or if they had a criminal record for prostitution and the answer was clearly "no".  In fact, to date, not one corporation which has put out scholarships for survivors has actually hired any of those partakers of the scholarships despite them achieving the higher degree.  I have a long list of survivors who have earned high degrees, are now loaded down with a huge load of student debt to now pay off, but who can't get a job because of their past within the sex industry even though it was entirely against their will.

That's the kind of truth being hidden which the public needs to know about is happening in order to do something about it to help these survivors truly be able to move on.  We need to be discussing laws allowing model releases signed under duress to be voided after a certain amount of time so 20 years later you can't get a job because of a porn spread you were forced to do, or a record you got while being forced to prostitute by traffickers all don't prevent you from being able to move on from the industry entirely.    Not having to return back to it "voluntarily" after having been rescued from forced sex trafficking simply because of things like porn, criminal records, or child custody agreements are blocking from finding another way to pay our rent now we got set free.

One of the biggest complaints you hear out of law enforcement, social workers, and counselors is that once freed from forced sex trafficking so many victims return "voluntarily" - wasting in a sense all of that work to rescue them.  However, they haven't tried to try to get a job when employers are asking about a prostitution conviction or staring at a centerfold spread.  They can "sympathize" all they want with us - but that doesn't mean they're going to hire us with these things hindering us from being able to move on.

I remember when the tobacco industry lied to Congress about their products not being cancerous nor addictive.  The sex industry actually is responsible for the flow of more money than the tobacco industry who is also trying to mislead Congress.  The last two Congressional hearings on sex trafficking saw completely fabricated "victims" testifying.  Put there in my opinion for the same reasons and in the same manner the tobacco industry did when also trying to protect their industry through the deception of Congress.

Fake survivors who didn't want to have testimony heard that the greatest blockage to being able to escape a sex trafficker is that of parental rights.  Real pimps and traffickers will work to get their victims pregnant as fast as possible into their relationship.  This then prevents their victim from being able to leave them without a forwarding address for at least the next 18 years.

For the next 18 years, if the mother tries to run off without telling her pimp where she's living to escape him - he just calls the FBI to file a kidnapping report and the police will return her along with the baby promptly.  Now I ask you - how do you escape that in even the best of "safe houses" being provided to you?  Did you know if he's even convicted of pimping or trafficking you that you are STILL required legally to take the child to him in prison for visitation and if you refuse YOU could be held in contempt?  Don't tell me that's not going to make a victim think twice about testifying against a guy she's going to have to be facing with her child in hand for the next 18 years.

You still have to tell him where your'e at or be arrested as a criminal yourself under current laws.  Something you didn't hear one word about in Congressional testimony on sex trafficking the last two hearings because of the phony so called "survivors" talking about how more money was what was needed instead to fund programs and safe houses.  More money however isn't going to change those laws sadly.

All I can do is point out that if someone is trying to publish a story on alcoholism, but doesn't seem to know who Bill Wilson or Alcoholics Anonymous is which in relation to this movement we are that Bill Wilson and AA - then maybe that person should be examined a little more carefully as to the truth of their story.  If they're sincere then certainly they'd at least know we exist even.  Yes it does matter to us if their stories are true or not because the services we need to escape and recover depend first upon raising awareness of what those needs are.

Which is done through the media such as your publication.  So I'm going to ask you to please consider if future pieces are reading like marketing campaigns or lobbying efforts before publishing them  - please consider checking them out for honesty before publishing because we can't get help for things which the public isn't aware of first we need.  Since they aren't witnessing our trafficking - this leaves us with enlightening them through our personal stories.  That's how we got federal recognition achieved with the passing of the Trafficking Act of 2000 - but since money was made available with that recognition - we've been finding ourselves blocked at the media well by those seeking out political power and financial donations for some time now at the expense of legitimate survivors' testimonies.

I would therefore ask that you please consider future stories on the subject of sex  trafficking very carefully as to the honesty of the piece before publishing.  That or at least some kind of equal time in allowing OUR voices as authentic survivors to be heard who know money isn't the answer for our situation much of the time.  Money for example doesn't change that law requiring us to tell our pimps where we're living at all times so they can threaten us and our children if we try and leave their control.  Nor does money take down porn we were forced into performing in off the internet so we can get a job outside of the sex industry by employers who could care less what degree we have if there's a nude spread of us online for their customers to see.

That kind of thing takes public awareness we're being robbed of by a new form of pimp who is exploiting our pain in order to drain funds meant to "help" us by robbing us of the media we need to get our true stories out there where we need it to be heard so we can escape any kind of exploitation we're being subjected to whether we're in or out of the sex industry at the moment.

We're not going to stay out for long if we find no other way to pay our rent than returning to prostitution because we can't get a job or away from our pimp because of these false stories continuing.

So please - if you ever need any help checking out a story in the future as to it's honesty  please just give me a shout.

Note the comments below - people are seeing straight through this "inphomercial" for the legal brothels of Nevada. Let me ask you something - how honest would you be talking to the press about your job and your boss and co-workers if they're all standing right next to you at the time of the interview? Further, if during the interview you are actually living at your place of employment. Meaning if you do say something like "my boss is a jerk" then you know once the reporter leaves you're now going to be asked to pack up your suitcase and leave. Only you can't "just" leave when you work at a legal brothel in Nevada. First, there are no cabs to call to pick you up nor limo's. Every legal brothel is in a tiny little town where there are no commercial transportation services. Second, you can't call a cab or limo to come get you from the larger city of say Las Vegas or Reno because you'd have to pay them for that mileage just to reach you. Why can't you pay them? Because the house only pays your manager at a contracted period of time. You're never given your cash when you just say "I'm leaving". You leave with no cash on you but what you came with. So if you came in to work without any money on you - then you walk out of there with no money on you UNLESS it's your payday and your work contract states you're to be paid in cash directly - not to your "manager" or "agent". There are no buses either to the major cities or the airport to fly home either. Third, you can't just walk out of the place and go hitch a ride either because it's literally against the law to do so. When you first arrive to work it's illegal for you to leave the building for the first 48 hours. After your first 48 hours - it's illegal to walk off the property after dark. Yes that's right - it's literally illegal for you to walk off the job and go hitch a ride home. If you drove yourself - that's great. But if you didn't and someone dropped you off - then you have to wait for them to come and get you. Fourth, you can count on two hands the number of legal brothel owners in the USA. Meaning if you call your boss a jerk to the press you can not just kiss your job at that place goodbye - but you can literally kiss your whole career goodbye. Fifth, after receiving the prostitute license to work in a Nevada legal brothel go and try and get yourself a license to sell real estate, stocks on Wall Street, or teach school children. In other words, many many jobs out there will not hire you once they find out you've a license to be a prostitute which will show up on a background check these days. So if you screw up this gig and you don't have another career ready to go as your back-up - then you just screwed your whole career royally no matter how accurate you feel about what you'd like to say about either your boss, the company, the clients or the industry itself. Sixth, would you be likely to tell a reporter your boss is a "jerk" if you knew he had shot a famous unarmed boxer down in cold blood and never even was arrested for the murder? So I ask you - how accurate and totally honest do you think an interview would be of someone about their job if they were being asked about the job and their boss, co-workers, clients, etc., were standing right there listening and you also had these other things to deal with such as you were residing on the premises, and had these transportation issues? Also, what would it serve you to tell the truth? If you lie and say you "love this job and love your clients and love your boss" then you MAKE MONEY. If you were to tell the truth which is your boss is a jerk, the clients are jerks, the coworkers are jerks and the job is completely disgusting to the point where you puke each time you turn a trick - you get fired, thrown off the property, blacklisted in the industry, you completely lose your income for who knows how long it's going to take you to find another job after this interview hits the press and your face is blasted all over the media as a prostitute, you have a whole bunch of people pissed off at you, possibly threatening you, and you're not even sure how you're going to get home after blowing off some stream to the press like this. So if there is no upside to telling the 100 % total complete truth to the reporter - would you? Let's now add a possible complication - that of drugs. Heidi Fleiss was busted for having over 400 pot plants growing at her place by the Bunny Ranch and she was engaged to Dennis Hof at one point in time. Marijuana is legal pretty much in Nevada. Meaning as long as you're at the ranch and being "nice" then you'll be able to score all the pot pretty much you want. But if you were to piss off these people, stomp off the job - what would the odds be they'd let you buy from them again? Or you can go to the dispensary and buy more right? Takes money which you just screwed yourself out of by telling the complete truth. Ask yourself how many people have you heard interviewed about what it's like to work at a Nevada brothel who isn't talking to the reporter while smoking a joint, drinking wine or champagne, and has Hof standing right next to her while she's on the job? If the interview is out of town, she's on Hof's private plane and her ride home even. With the ad money these guys spend - would your paper or station print the truth if you told it? I ask because I once approached a Vegas magazine with an interview with an ex-brothel prostitute about her time there and was refused because the publisher said "I'm not going to screw myself out of that ad money they give me by printing this". Every research report done by a university has been paid for by the owners. Name me one research report bought by the tobacco industry which identified tobacco as causing cancer or being addictive? Speaking of tobacco - anyone see the film "The Insider" about how much trouble an insider had just getting the truth out about their product to the public? How the press had to literally go to war with a team of lawyers just to publish the truth? After how many people died of cancer related to tobacco? Am I the only one remembering they lied to Congress about their product? I watched the documentary on HBO "Hot Toxic Seat" about the chemical flame retardant industry and the lies, manipulation, and money involved in having laws passed requiring the sale and use of their chemicals on products such as clothing and furniture even when it was causing firemen cancer - and I can assure you the money involved in flame retardant chemicals is smaller, and there's much less of any emotional investment, into the sex industry of porn, prostitution, stripping, webcams, etc. But somehow these brothels are a shining example of "truth in advertising?" Here's an interview with a woman who was two years clean and sober at the time, and who had completely exited the entire sex industry at the time of the interview. Her motivation for the interview was because her pimp/husband was threatening to put her two small children into child porn if she didn't return to work at the brothel. He had won legal custody because of her prostitute license and the court deciding she wasn't a "fit" mother for that reason. helped her get her and her kids to Canada where they don't extradite to escape him and she wanted to warn others from her experience. These brothels are a business. As such - how honest do you think most press is about any corporation? Especially one that has just received such a large investment as the brothels did recently when Disney invested $250 million dollars into MGT. MGT is a partner of Vivid Entertainment. Vivid Entertainment books private appointments with their performers to do outcalls through the Nevada legal brothels, and for this reason is moving their operation into Nevada where a film stage is being built in Pahrump. Why? Interactive "live" porn through things such as Oculus - a product of Google. Google who donated $11 million dollars to Polaris. Polaris who passed a law requiring signs be posted at adult businesses in California - but not Nevada for some reason. Now I ask you - how can someone working at a legal brothel call a trafficking hotline for help? How can they call for help when calling Polaris refers them in Nevada to reach out to the local homeless shelter who does not provide transportation to them? Let's stop saying this is a "business" and not looking at it LIKE a "business". As to "why" Disney would invest into such a circle of corporations which would be basically funneling young boys and girls from mouse ears as children into such companies as Vivid Entertainment - take one good look at what one sex tape did for Kim Kardashian and her family and then think about that question again. I mean imagine - all those "Britney Spears wannabee's" who didn't make it big by their 18th birthday who are now trained actors and dancers however and can you think of a more natural career step than to suggest they go down to Vivid's office on their 18th birthday. Why their "headshots" will already be prepared when they decide to go talk to their recruiters. Besides, it's not like Vivid or the Bunny Ranch can go out amongst the kiddies and recruit them directly now can they? Well that just wouldn't be "tasteful" now would it? Watch some of the dance shows on Disney lately and tell me they're not future porn stars and strippers in training please . . . It's not like many of them are killing themselves studying classical ballet there at Disney. I mean didn't I just read not long ago the largest raid of pedophiles were Disney employees? Take a good look at what Britney's parents had to go through in order to save her from an agent who was drugging her Wheaties to control her so severely they had to get a restraining order against the guy - and then tell me how this same thing would play out on a young lady who had a single mom as her legal guardian with a drug habit to support? Britney's parents were there for her - but what if they hadn't of been? There is a reason why the only people I'm seeing shut down right now under the guise of being "sex traffickers" are those who are in direct competition with the Nevada legal brothels. If Carl Ferrer of Backpage can be arrested as a sex trafficker for taking an ad for someone to perform an act of prostitution - then can you explain to me why Google isn't being arrested in the same complaint for directing people with their search engine advertising to the legal brothels of Nevada for the same act? You got it - because one is the NV legal brothels and the other isn't. The "war on sex trafficking" has become nothing more than a smoke screen to shut down all competitors to Vivid and the NV brothels - reminding me of how Polaris' first act against "sex trafficking" was to re-criminalize Rhode Island - the only legal competition to the NV brothels. We're watching a modern day version of Al Capone trying to take over the alcohol industry in the same manner as to why he was nicknamed the "untouchable" because of his legal, political, and even religious connections who he would use to shut down his "competitors" to his organized operation. Let me ask you something - how come I see nothing in this article about the virgins from Brazil Dennis Hof auctions off recruited for him by Joe Conforte - a man who fled this country to avoid felony arrest? Virgins who are brought into this country courtesy of men such as Joohon David Lee - a man working for Homeland Security, Immigration and the trafficking task force who used taxpayer money to fly over to other countries to pick up these women, fly them to Nevada using work permits at the brothel's restaurants for their visa's, and when caught sex trafficking was only charged with bribery from "Mr. H." because no law exists that can hold him accountable for such things? Where instead of being in prison for using his position to traffick women into this country he's now driving a limo? I wouldn't be surprised at all if his employer is Charles Horkey who was convicted of using his limo company to also engage in sex trafficking. Now with Sheldon Adelson, the owner of the Review Journal newspaper, and just about all of the press in Nevada, being a supporter of legalized prostitution - what do you think the odds are that we're hearing the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth when it comes to these brothels? I ask you - how do these brothels protect a woman from being a trafficking victim when there's no way to file a police report against anyone forcing them to work in them which is the definition of sex trafficking? If there was a way to call the cops and make a criminal charge against a pimp for trafficking you inside these brothels - do you really believe the owner of the brothel would cooperate with the prosecution knowing what bad press this would be for his brothel? Do you think the other prostitutes would testify against them to support your accusation? Show me ONE lawsuit a woman has filed against a NV brothel for ANYTHING - whether it be wrongful termination, sexual harassment, workers compensation? Seriously - I'd like to see ONE criminal charge or civil lawsuit of a brothel prostitute against either their pimp or one of the brothels for ANYTHING? Compare with other companies who have employees sue them all the time and then answer that question please. Even a pack of cigarettes has a surgeon general's warning on them - but look at what lengths had to be gone through before that happened and then tell me how "accurate" and "honest" articles such as this are. Reminds me of George Flint, the Brothel Owners Association lobbyist who has admitted he's never set foot inside of one in his life. Now how seriously am I supposed to take his word for what goes on in these places when that's the case? Against maybe Harry Reid who grew up literally next door to one and saw what goes on at one as a kid? Grow up people. If this is a "business" - then start viewing it as one including the difference between "marketing" and the truth. I run and since 1987 I've been talking to women who have left this industry, including those legal brothels, and I believe I'm hearing more of the truth out of them because there's no motivation to be lying to us when calling our hotline. And if their industry wasn't scared to death of what those views are out of them - then tell me why the Review Journal has refused to do one single article on us in the 30 years we've done this - even when the NV legislature was having hearings on sex trafficking laws which we were testifying against. Where's one single news station in Nevada that's interviewed us ever since we gave a press conference in NV in 2007 releasing a report we'd helped to prepare to the State Dept. about Nevada sex trafficking? If a major newspaper were to do a story on alcoholism but refuse to print one word about Alcoholics Anonymous or one interview with Bill Wilson or even a member of AA - tell me then how good of a story about alcoholism would that be?

I'm not surprised at all Kathy. It was a matter of time. As you know I'm working on my memoirs right now which I'm calling "Anatomy of a Movement". The reason isn't to document my life - but the first hand experiences I've had witnessing the type of behavior that has been coming out of our government for a long long time. Back during the civil rights movement - it's well known now that the CIA was involved in things such as illegally tape recording MLK, then using those tapes of his adultery to go around to other leaders trying to convince them to not have anything to do with him. At one point, they even sent him a letter trying to convince him to kill himself. Ignoring them - he was finally assassinated. Tired of the way they were being treated - Malcolm X rose up advocating a more organized aggressive movement because of such tactics. This was intertwined with the rise of the Black Panthers founded by Huey Newton. The Panthers became infiltrated by people who tried to discredit them with things like moving drugs in NY - far away from Huey's influence. Huey was also murdered in Oakland in a way that might not have been a random act of violence. Before his death he had talked about his phones being tapped, being followed, etc.

Why do I talk about this? Because Bill Wilson created Alcoholics Anonymous at a time when the alcoholic used to make a lot of money for the church and state. Before AA, the alcoholic used to be arrested frequently as well as being hospitalized - generating a lot of money for the church, the legal system and the medical system as well. Once AA became a worldwide organization - he was suddenly the victim of an organized attack upon him. People distorted his experiments with LSD as a treatment for the depression alcoholics all suffered from in sobriety before antidepressants were even invented. He found himself completely blacklisted in his own group - he was removed from the Grapevine newsletter, and even forbidden to speak at meetings or conventions. In fact at the 20th convention he was forbidden entirely to even speak from the podium.

During the 1980's, I was involved in prostitution. I had Chuck Barris approach me as the producer of the "Dating Game". He was a CIA operative and the show was used as a cover for international sex trafficking. I witnessed women without family being loaded onto diplomatic planes at LAX never to be heard from again while the CIA "dared" me there was nothing I could do to stop that plane. I also witnessed Iran Contra - which Chuck was a part of. This was our own CIA importing cocaine into this country while blaming the African American community for the epidemic. I was part of the chain of transfer of the drug from the piers, to Compton, to the homes of the Hollywood film elite. Prostitutes were used to introduce the drug to the top people in Hollywood so as to create media which would glamorize the drug and thus drive up the sales. The money was used to buy guns for the Contra's because we were forbidden to help them "officially".

Narcotics Anonymous was full of people who knew what was going on. I was one of those people in the 1980's. Bill Wilson had bonded with Jimmy Kinnon, NA's founder, in the creation of NA. I witnessed the take-over of NA in the same exact manner as AA had been taken over. The same character assassination of Bill in the 1950's was now being used against Jimmy Kinnon in the 1980's. He was illegally removed from his own board of directors, and replaced with a nonaddict who would "play ball" with the government. I also witnessed any and all friends and supporters of Jimmy completely shut out of any position of power within NA. It was a true house cleaning. I literally stood by while addicts with six months clean were elected to run whole areas while addicts like myself who had 15 years and up of clean time were completely ignored. It was very confusing at the time to try and figure out why all service positions were handed over to newcomers who had no idea what was going on or the history of NA.

I studied the civil rights movement, and the rise of AA, when I set out to create Prostitutes Anonymous. I witnessed this "take over" of NA with my own eyes. In 1987 I started the first hotline for trafficking victims, and a program which helped many of them to escape and recover. By the year 2000 - we had created the group of people who saw the Trafficking Act of 2000 passed. Meaning we achieved federal recognition that domestic sex trafficking was in fact real. Back before then, you couldn't call the police for help because you were branded as a criminal. There were literally no laws against the sale of Americans or recognition of sex trafficking being real in the modern world. If you look at films like "Enter the Dragon" - then you can see that this issue was going on in broad daylight and there was no legal safe haven for victims until this Act was passed.

In 2009, Jeane Palfrey stepped up with her "Black Book". This was NOT a book of her CLIENTS. This was a book verifying contact between her and men in our government who were forcing her to act as a madam in the same fashion as high level madams before her. In other words, SHE was a trafficking victim at the hands of our own government and she had proof. She was murdered before she had a chance to reveal more names and testify as to her story. The press went nuts calling her death a suicide before her body was even cold. When the autopsy however was released - no press came about the bruises on her legs which showed she was forced into being hung as I'd suspected. I was also blocked from all press to talk about her side of the story in her death despite the fact I'd spoken to her daily for years beforehand.

As I tried to go to the press with her story, that's when things changed dramatically. Our group started being overtaken in the same manner as I'd seen both AA and NA be overtaken. I had refused an offer to be an informant on those calling our hotline so a parallel hotline had been created by Polaris. Only if you trace the actions of Polaris such as their recriminalization of prostitution in Rhode Island - you can see that what they are REALLY doing is trying to drive the marketplace to that of the legal brothels of Nevada. I've traced donations directly to Polaris who has now merged with - guess who? Palatin Technologies who IS the CIA.

The reason why the CIA used to have a relationship with the high level madams back before the internet was created was because the sexual arena is a powerful one to control the flow of information and behavior. However, madams were now replaced with the internet. Sites like Backpage. Backpage is a competitor to the legal brothels of Nevada. So is Redbook, Rentboy, the Erotic Review, etc. I also witnessed starting in 2009 - the absolute taking over of all of the "old school" groups of the sex industry who were not part of the legal brothel industry of Nevada.

Why them? They are a corporation. A corporation that has legally partnered with Vivid Entertainment who is the largest porn producer in the world. Who has partnered with Oculus who is part of Google who has created 3D virtual interactive porn. Google donated $20 milllion dollars to Polaris. Disney just invested $250 million dollars in Vivid through MGT who is also a partner corporation. They are as we speak creating an alternative court system in Nevada headed by Constable Bonaventura, and a film stage in Pahrump. They've also partnered with Amazon who has Alexa. I want you to imagine the combination of these technologies into the ability to create an interactive porn performer who can even take your orders for socks - and then you can legally now call up and book them flown in person to your home for a legal prostitution appointment. Because they've also now passed laws allowing the brothels of Nevada to send on an outcall any of their employees anywhere in the world once an account is set up at the main brothel.  They can literally turn on microphones in your TV set, computer, phone, etc., and all of what they hear can be legally funneled through their "partners" of Amazon, to Google, to Palatin Technologies - all without the need of one single warrant being obtained.  Voila - no more need of madams to do the job for them!

Starting in 2009, I witnessed every online group connected to all parts of the sex industry overtaken. Anyone who was old enough to know something was wrong, or knew anything for that matter, were all blocked from the groups by the moderators. For example, I used to be in the online group for Sex Workers Outreach Project. They were a national group who used to do harm reduction outreach into the sex industry. Anyone wanting help to escape traffickers would tell them they needed help and then our group would get a call from them. However, I found myself, and all members of SWA, were suddenly removed from their groups. Anyone in SWOP who defeated our removal was also promptly removed from the group and shunned. Those who persisted they were members - were then threatened. As this was happening I realized this was the online version of the same type of "take over" I'd seen in NA.

Kathy, you jumped all over me for publishing something about Kelly Townsend. Kelly is representing himself to be a licensed PI out of AZ. He has made claims of rescuing a girl out of AZ which his story doesn't check out. I got a statement from the police THEY found this girl and don't know who Kelly is. Kelly was featured on a show on the Discovery Investigative Channel who is owned by DISNEY. Kelly reached out to a sex trafficking survivor and offered her a job at a non-existent safe house for sex trafficking victims he claims exists in AZ only there is no such place. I've checked with the licensing dept. of AZ for private investigators and he's never been licensed. The number he claims as his for his license he signs his emails with doesn't exist. Kelly offered this woman drugs and asked her to drive from VA to AZ which in my opinion was to not leave a trace about her route. He also started trying to convince this woman to stop speaking to our group at the same time he was doing this. A cult I had helped to run out of the country in 1986 called "Children of God" who used to claim they were rescuing prostitutes only to be pimping them themselves returned to AZ in the 1990's and renamed themselves "The Family". Officer Armendariz was murdered before he could testify as to what was going on in the trafficking arena in AZ.

You have told me Kathy that Kelly has called you bashing me to you. You've told me other people have called you bashing me to you. Kathy this is how they operate. These people are called "influencers" and they do everything they can to do to me what they did to MLK, Huey Newton, Malcolm X, Bill Wilson, Jimmy Kinnon, and anyone else who has successfully created a movement which contradicts what their goals are. Which in my case is simple - our group provides a legal way for people convicted of prostitution to not be incarcerated. However, Clinton passed an immigration reform in 1996 which now requires 36,000 people to be incarcerated daily in this country. From 1987 when I started and there were 2 for profit prisons - over 80 % of inmates in this country now are in for profit prisons. My work directly opposes their goal of having as many people incarcerated as possible. Ask cops and they will tell you prostitution is the fastest and cheapest way to arrest a large group of people - especially minorities. Look at these "end demand" campaigns and the Oakland sex scandal and you'll see they focus on arresting minorities WITHOUT telling them they can opt to call our program and not be incarcerated if convicted.

You ignored me there was a problem with Kelly Kathy. You also ignored me when I told you that Wilthema Ortiz Pettigrew is just as fake of a survivor as Samoly Mam was. This procession of "fake" survivors who have been testifying at Congress - while smearing REAL victims such as myself has been so that the truth is not heard about what is going on right now with respect to this. Last year the "No Such Thing" campaign swept the country calling to have juveniles not arrested for prostitution. HOWEVER the problem with that is this means that PIMPS WILL NOT BE PROSECUTED who trafficking in juveniles. The only way they are arrested is when the juvenile is arrested who in turn then identifies their trafficker. Arrest of the juvenile also traces HIV infection and makes sure victims get help through court order. Without arrest there is no follow up and no HIV testing either. Since this disruption of the movement I created started - we now are in another HIV epidemic in this country the press isn't speaking about. Neither are they about the national protests we had in September in the prisons either about what's going on. You think Guantanamo was bad? Those who are incarcerated who aren't American are being completely deprived of their rights - including even proper medical care.

Of course they're going to take over the foster care system. I have already heard of one juvenile group home where the kids are being put to work on adult webcams being groomed to enter porn on their 18th birthday. These people are taking over any organized group and that's how they operate. You can read up on Cointelpro for more information on what's going on here. Kathy when you told me that you were getting phone calls attacking me to you - I knew it was a matter of time before they edge even you out. Anyone with a brain is going to find themselves edged out. If you resist - they'll start the rumors going about you to get others to shun you. That's how they operate. If you doubt me - look at every leader of any civil rights movement or things like Occupy or Anonymous and you'll see what I mean. I've had to remove all traces of our SWA membership online. I have to now tell new members they can't even mention our name online - or they triggered being attacked and stalked. When it happened to me - no one wanted to do anything because you think it doesn't affect you.

Until they come for you.

It seems Las Vegas feels so strongly about the issue of street peddlers that it went to a great deal of trouble to set up a whole special court to deal with them with the head judge being Constable Bonaventura

Sounds innocent right?

Okay, now Nevada is having SUCH A BUDGET crunch that they stopped sending out police cars to accident scenes to make police reports.  So because they say they "don't have the budget" to send out cops to make reports on accident scenes anymore, look at the complaints and problems piling up here -

Now let me get this straight - Nevada doesn't have money to send out cops to make reports on accidents but they've set up a whole WAREHOUSE where the cops are being paid OVERTIME?????

For what now?  Dangerous murders and rapists?

No we don't even have money to fight against rapists!!!  Look at the backlog of kits not being tested supposedly because of a shortage of money.

But they're now paying electricity, insurance, overtime, and all that jazz to process STREET PEDDLERS??
Remember Bonaventura has a love of porn performers. .He's not adverse to beating on women.

Seems he was suing over losing his job as Constable - and they gave him THIS job to placate him.

Sexual harassment even.  Oh yeah this is a guy I want to have me alone in a dark warehouse without benefit of an attorney or my legal rights right ladies?

Now I ask you why would an alcoholic wife beating sexual harassing cop want to be working as a judge in this warehouse SO badly he's not even charging "overtime" to do it as the cops are being paid to work with it right?

Now he might have gone into that computer because someone bribed him to.  He's not adverse to kickbacks

I just have to ask myself why after ALL that Clark County has gone through with this guy WHY give him basically his own playground?  I mean this is something out of Star Chamber or something!  If this isn't a "real" court, then that means the law doesn't apply here.  It means they aren't under arrest.  If not under arrest, then I don't get a phone call and I don't get to speak to an attorney.

Worse - I don't think they get advised of when they're speaking to anyone if they're incriminating themselves or not.  I mean what if they open up one of these peddlers' bags and find a couple of human heads inside?  What then?  I mean if the guy was told "this isn't a real court and you're not going to jail" and he goes "oh okay" and hands over the heads - is something that would hold up in a real court or would they say he wasn't "read his rights" first or even that he was "entrapped" because he thought he was safe from ANY criminal charges.

Let's look carefully at what this article says - it says they want to be able to "pull in someone who is walking around with a water bottle that has water from another source" in it" and "sunglasses" and "a blank CD".  The areas they want to target are the strip and the pedestrian bridges and walkways.

With everyone hating on this guy - WHY is Marilyn Kirkpatrick so "excited" about all of this?  I remember her well.  ;One of our SWA members was testifying at the legislature about AB67.  There had been literally 45 groups that were all bogus made up groups who chartered a bus to go down and bombard the legislature with testimony to support AB67.  SWOP and SWA - the two groups who work with sex trafficking victims in Nevada were the only two objectors.

While there, Aubrey calls me up and says "they're having a back door hearing that's not listed on the calendar".  I said "that's illegal".  She says "what do I do?"  I said "go and find out what they're trying to hide so badly".  Well she found George Flint sitting there, the Brothel Association lobbyist.  She told me he had gotten up there and told a whole pack of lies about what goes on in the legal brothels - and the claim they "protect them from trafficking" (which is absolutely false).

I told her to "give 'em your side of the story kid" and she did.  George was so mad they lost he supposedly started yelling he was "retiring" and he was "done with this bullshit" because Aubrey really had painted him out to be a complete liar.

Look at that article again.  The "Shady Lady" seems to be run by a nice older woman right?  Nope.  It was actually being run by the Hell's Angel's.  If you'd like to hear what they did to Aubrey - here you go.

We see NV Energy is one of her supporters.

But there's one sticky bit about taking taxes from a brothel at the state level as she's considered  That is - if a person takes money from a prostitute anywhere else BUT the legal brothels - it's a FELONY.  It's called "pimping".  Now I know that it would be taxes from the brothels so that's not the same thing - but if Dennis Hof can take money from a prostitute and not be a felon but a guy in Clark County takes money and he's a felon - then doesn't that still then make the state a PIMP if THEY take money from the prostitutes without being a licensed brothel also?

It does appear that Marilyn is supportive of a Chinese government owned investment coming to town however

Frankly with all of this Chinese money coming into N. Las Vegas - I just can't imagine why she would be responsible for giving Bonaventura his own private little playground just to go after street peddlers.  Not when we're hearing they can't afford money for rape kits and cops on accident scenes - but they're funding this with overtime?

If you've ever gone along those walk ways where they want to target in this - you will see a lot of young girls who are trying to prostitute for the night.  Some have street pimps and some don't.  Most are young, scruffy and hungry.  There's a few pick pockets, drug dealers, pan handlers, mostly people who are lost and looking for a way to make a buck.

I've had members of SWA come to me before saying they want to organize street outreaches there however because most of the girls there look young that are out there hooking.  The thing is - if you can be drug into this warehouse because of having a "pair of sunglasses" or a "bottle of water", or even a "blank CD" and the cops "word" you're out there "street peddling", I think I have a better idea who they're trying to target and why.  Honestly, if I was to go out looking for some young girls who might be interested in a "job" at a strip club, legal brothel, porn studio, etc. that would be one of the first places I'd look.  I say that because I've had our group members many times tell me they want to go there just to do an outreach to try and bring some kids in.

We don't like too much going over to Tropicana or Boulder Highway because most of those girls are addicts and MEAN.  They want to go get that next hit and you had better not get in their way!

Call it a "hunch" but this just doesn't look good at all to me about what's going on down there.  I mean what kind of security cameras are there going to be running who will keep the judge and cops running the place 'honest".

Again, with Bonaventura's history I wouldn't want to be in that warehouse at 2:00 am with him drunk, horny, lonely and no one really around on my side like a public defender.
