To follow up to - in February of 2014.

Seems after the February raids - the economy had a slump.  So a lot of the prostitutes were now wondering what they were going to do to pay the rent.

Then came - in April of 2014 when more corruption arrests came down against men who were part of the Chinese government that had been threatening many of these same prostitutes with getting sentences with the death penalty if they didn't comply with the demands of traffickers according to what victims were telling us.

In May of 2014 the trials began.

We read this recently - about how the investigation loop was widening.

Is this having an impact?  Yes and no.  The ring we've been getting calls from victims about who said they were being trafficked here from China - did feel the heat.

However, their response was to start trafficking women from KOREA!!!  So the machine is still operating - just with victims from a different country now because many of the heads of this operation were not arrested yet.  This is again why the RICO laws were written in this country to respond to the same issue when we first dealt with this with the Italian mob.  The "five families" which has been pretty much dismantled - and now these "ethnic" gangs have moved into the vacuum with the Aryans supposedly in law enforcement protecting them.

Now this was the same ring that was responsible for the shutting down of NINE massage parlors in Wichita, Kansas in 2013 according to documents that I have from a victim here in California tying her to these arrests.

Please note from this article it talks about "recruiting women out of San Francisco".  I bring that up because Maxine Doogan had yes "tried to decriminalize prostitution" there.  Something I had previously supported her for in order to make the prosecution of traffickers easier.  Then I learned she had tried to get this same ballot to conceal language that would help Asian trafficking victims to get help to escape.

Which is why I have completely changed my position of previous support of the group SWOP, Sex Workers Outreach Project, under their new leadership, and the allowing of Maxine Doogan to be a public spokeswoman for them.

My understanding of SWOP previously was this was a group that believed sex workers should have the same "rights" and treatment as any other worker in this country.  That the sex industry is a profession like any other, and that no human being should be forced to engage in, nor exploited, nor abused, nor treated in any way differently than one would treat a doctor, attorney, teacher, or any other professional.

However, Maxine has supposedly helped to cut the funding to St. James Infirmary from what our members have reported to us, she tried to block wording in a proposition from going on the ballot so people wouldn't know she was trying to cut funding to help trafficking victims in San Francisco who were primarily Asian in massage parlors,  AND she was involved in denouncing the recent Seattle arrests who FREED Asian women who were being FORCED by a criminal operation that was doing things like threatening to kill their family members back home if they did not engage in sex work.

Frankly, considering Maxine's background with her own legal case, I'm shocked by her recent attacks upon our group which only started in 2015 when the show "8 Minutes" came on-air.   Now we've read there's a lot of money involved with this Asian sex trade that also carries over into operating here within the USA.  We also know the Chinese engage in very "unfair trade practices" in that they will readily engage in very complex and sophisticated "smear" campaigns such as we've seen them do just over CHICKEN.  A product which PALES in comparison to how much money is involved in the sex trade.

Maxine certainly had exhibited no problem with us at any time prior to the show "8 Minutes" (we've been around since 1987 and not a peep out of her before March of 2015)  - and in fact we might have even been able to be of some help to her in her case, and the other women in her case, had they known about our work back when Maxine was originally arrested.  Again, something I fault SWOP for not having told her about how we might have helped her, and the other prostitutes, who were saying they were forced to testify against Maxine, by a bad cop.

I say that because this case reads pretty much like what many of our members deal with, including Jeane Palfrey, who was nicknamed the D.C. Madam.  Seems a cop had sex with a few sex workers in Seattle, and then turned them "informant" who Maxine says then made false allegations against her which charged her as a pimp in fact.   Now I ask you with a COP forcing you to make false allegations against another sex worker - what do you do?  Where do you go?  Who do you call for help?

We have advertised since day one we are the ONLY hotline ( I'm aware of anyway for adults who can call us that is NOT connected with law enforcement in any way. What that means is that we don't report anything on anyone who calls us to the police for one (except as legally required such as if they're threatening suicide for example).

Second, it means that if a victim is being threatened by a cop in some fashion, such as being forced to have sex with them, forced to be an informant, or even forced to make false accusations against someone else like Maxine says was being done to her, and they decide their life is in danger - where do you go to be safe?  The Salvation Army is not set up for this kind of thing.  Nor are most homeless or domestic violence shelters.  In fact, our members have reported when they've run to such shelters for safety the cop, sheriff, marshal, etc., has shown up, flashed their badge, and the facility has just handed them over with no questions asked even like "where are you taking this person?"

Jeane Palfrey was reporting to us that men like Randall Tobias, and David Vitter, among others, were part of the men who were coming to her working within our government who were forcing her to continue working as a madam, forcing her escorts to continue working as escorts, and also using them like these informants against Maxine, to pump men for information they wanted, plant information they wanted planted, to create blackmail, and to seal government deals like we've heard about leak out like with our Navy.

She did not reveal the names of "johns" but of "traffickers" and her case was not plead out so she could make her "black book" public record where these men couldn't silence those records.   Now we had offered to help her go "off the grid" to which she replied she wanted to "prove what was going on in the sex industry" and "how trafficking extends beyond just the prostitutes to the madams as well". How traffickers are not all like Bishop Don Juan - but instead are men like we read about, and I witnessed, with Iran Contra.

My point being that there were women in those massage parlors in San Francisco, and Seattle, that were being forced to be there, and threatened, and exploited, and their money taken from them, where the only way these women could get free was to have these arrests happen.  I say that because from 1984 until about 2013 - our program has been able to organize "rescues" of women like that where they, and their family, has been able to get free of the trafficking operation WITHOUT anyone having to be arrested.  We've just helped them to "disappear" off the grid as we've done in cases such as the Chris Butler case where he was a private investigator who used to be a cop.  He had a lot of resources to find those not cooperating with him, as does men like Rick Rizzolo, who was caught getting information from OC Sheriff Mike Corona while he was in prison.

However, this Asian ring that's connected to the Wichita arrests, and the Seattle arrests, as well as operating in San Francisco, and a few other cities in the USA, has such advanced technology, combined with such corrupt contacts, which again Maxine has witnessed when a cop can sleep with prostitutes, and then force them to make false accusations.

How is that?  Probably because Maxine was a competitor to this operation which is what we've been seeing.  We've been watching as independent sex workers who are advertising on sites like Backpage, Craigslist, The Erotic Review, My Redbook, etc. are being targeted for arrest by any means possible as a measure to shut down the competition TO THESE MASSAGE PARLORS and Asian rings using cops like this Ring cop to accomplish those end goals.

So here is an operation the Seattle police were BRAVE enough to arrest and go after, who not only was trafficking those women in those parlors, but ALSO using corrupted officers just like the one who came after Maxine, to get them arrested using any means possible, just like they did with Maxine, because they are competition to their girls, just like Maxine was.

Then when this Seattle police goes after these animals like police are SUPPOSED TO DO - Maxine ATTACKS THEM?  I have documented proof I've been trying to get charges filed against police officers for abusing prostitutes which complaints, calls, emails have been going unanswered, as seems to be a pretty common thing in Los Angeles as reported in this article - which I don't think we'd even be hearing about now if not for the neighborhood block leader who finally complained - and Maxine is attacking these officers for moving in to help these women get free?

Now this is what Seattle just did and SWOP'S ATTACKING THEM?  WTF?

But at the same time I've not heard one word about 15 year old Latesha Clay, who was the mother of two children, being forced to work as a prostitute because of poverty, having a gun probably to protect herself out there in Michigan's streets, and because of this "No Such Thing" campaign which was pushing to not have juveniles arrested for prostitution - she's tried as an ADULT and now locked up in prison?  Only as an adult she should have been offered the "alternative to incarceration" ALL adults are offered which is to attend our program - but she was not because she's a juvenile?

I've not heard a word out of Maxine about Amber Batts, who was also locked up in jail RATHER than being offered our program, which cost her custody of her children, got her divorced, and then all this publicity because she was trying to provide screening and security for other working women up in Alaska country?  There was no reason for her to have been put in jail either when she could have asked the judge to attend our program instead, and a member of SWA up there could have stood up with her to take over responsibility so she's still be in her home, with her husband and her kids!  I don't remember Maxine approaching either judge in either of these cases to lend her support to them.

Which by the way I find 5.5 years is INSANE for Amber screening calls to protect sex workers on new appointments vs. the TWO YEARS that Kemp Shiffer received for trafficking teens between California and Nevada using his IRS badge, and cop connections, for TWELVE YEARS before the police were finally able to bring a case against him?

Nor do I remember in her attacks against Katherine Griffin-Townsend, or myself, both ex-sex workers, who now try and help other sex workers AVOID JAIL TIME, say one word of attack against Kevin Brown, Greg Reese, or Relativity Media.   Things like Relativity Media might have not shown one single frame of footage about REAL TRAFFICKING VICTIMS IN ASIAN MASSAGE PARLORS because they partnered with a government owned Chinese film company who has stated they want "no films showing Asian prostitution" in other interviews.   Who raised money from investors for a "reality series" and then gave us a staged scripted production leading these investors to call Relativity Media "con artists" which Relativity slapped them with a defamation suit to get them to retract the accusations.

Why attack them directly over the way they portrayed sex workers as all "victims" and falsely portrayed real trafficking victims?   How about getting them to explain if there was no "rescue" operation clearly as there wasn't - then what were they doing running around Orange County trying to get ahold of teenage prostitutes like "Sweets" exactly to do then?

I mean what was those meetings FOR then if there was NO RESCUE?

Chris Butler, and OTHER COPS, in California, were arrested just months prior to Kevin Brown's launching of a "rescue" where prostitutes were threatened in their motel rooms, robbed,, and told they either "worked for them" or they'd be arrested.

Maxine's antics in the media probably do great for filling up her personal appointment book, great for her fund raising, but I'm failing to see how she's on the side of sex workers in any way, shape or form lately.  The fact that SWOP is not only standing by, but supporting some of these antics, is beyond blowing my mind.  I mean asking sex workers to "vouch they're engaging in illegal sex work" or asking another sex worker to "vouch they're an illegal sex worker" to join the group, then inviting sex workers to come out to meetings in public places where they can be videotaped without the need of a warrant - just absolutely blows my mind with respect to how much information they're collecting on sex workers that could be used in a court of law against them.  To further get them charged with conspiracy by having them gather to speak about how to engage in illegal sex work.  To take money from identified prostitutes as donations which is technically a felony, and to support legislation, which is also in total violation of her 501c3.  Yet she's not getting arrested for some reason.

You know she was arrested supposedly by prostitutes who were forced to speak against her.  This recent case in Los Angeles is another case where the cop supposedly turned the woman into an "informant" after raping her while Internal Affairs did nothing to help her.   I mean it's not like any of SWOP's board members are using that position to do research on sex workers for money or anything right like Lindsey? Or Matthrew?

Katie Hall-Jares seems to also be a researcher on sex workers for the Dept. of Health.  Darrell has been working on "drafting a report for the UN on HIV" for which I'm sure he's paid something in the way of a grant.  Andrea Ferguson - researcher on sex workers.  Fatemah - researcher.  Kate Zen - researcher.

What I'm not seeing on the list of directors however is men or women who are engaging in illegal sex work.  Meaning they're putting their butts out there on the line where they can be arrested - but I am seeing them signing up new members who are in very incriminating manners, and then getting grant money from research on said sex workers.  Yet the organization itself has not been charged in any way for "receiving earnings from a prostitute".

Now if my mother can be arrested for taking $20 from me for a bucket of chicken I asked her to buy, as did my nail lady for doing my nails, and the hotel desk clerk for taking money for a room from me - then I know well that ANY money received by a "known prostitute" is a felony.  Yet this group is not reporting any arrests.  Narcotics Anonymous was.  So many arrests they had to get a law passed so that cops would stop arresting them at their meetings.  Until this law was passed NA meetings had to be "rabbit" meetings moved from day to day to prevent arrest.

I know it's why our group doesn't ask for donations from members, and gives the Recovery Guide, to new members still working in prostitution so that we don't get guilty of this felony pimping, arrested, and then forced to provide information on our members to law enforcement as they've tried to do to us in the past.  We just resolved the problem by not taking money.

But SWOP is out here suing prosecutors, raising $1,000's of dollars from active sex workers in cities where it's illegal, asking members to incriminate themselves, give out bank and address information, come to public meetings where they could be photographed, AND suddenly attacking what once they were treating like a sister program that runs the ONLY program in the country which can be used as an "alternative to incarceration" for adults, helps those having problems with corrupt officials, helps those who can't call the cops for help, helps sex workers escape pimps without involving the cops, and helps provide FREE legal assistance WITHOUT having to hold fund raisers because our experience has shown that attorney's who publicly take money from prostitutes wind up often disbarred (check out what happened to Montgomery Sibley for one example, or what happened to the attorney who defended Larry Flynt, etc.).

Again hmm.

If the things Maxine was saying against people like myself and Katherine Griffin-Townsend were true - that's one thing.  But they're not.  So her behavior, combined with lying about real ex-sex workers, out there trying to help other sex workers avoid time in jail, and to get free of very real pimps and traffickers, while again NOT asking the hard questions like WHY was Relativity Media staging the show "8 Minutes", and WHY was Kevin Brown running around Orange County motels trying to find prostitutes if NOT for a rescue because one didn't exist, and so on and so on.

If she's such a friggin "sex worker advocate" then she should have been THANKING the Seattle police for freeing those victims against some very bad dudes.  That ring in Wichita threatened the judge, the arresting officer, and myself, with death threats.  Threats I took seriously in light of weird things that happened to me including being poisoned at a lunch meeting with someone in this operation that put me in the emergency room, among a few other very real things they did which also like having a police officer threaten me and slapping one of their victims with TWO fake prostitution charges.

Just a lot here not computing.

What we saw after the old “five family” mobs were all locked up in prison was the rise of a different type of system operating in this country. Remember, we've been doing this work for 30 years now so things change. What we've seen is the men and women who were Aryan, white supremacist, KKK, skinheads, and with ties to still living Nazi's who relocated to the states after the war, started entering politics, law enforcement, and the criminal justice system. The African-American community has been involved in drugs and pimping all through this time on their own pretty much. If you've seen “American Gangster” then you know what I mean.

One of those men to give you an illustration is Paul Tanaka of an Aryan who is now involved in law enforcement and politics from what we've been told Paul Tanaka was a police officer until he became Mayor of Gardena. He took a leave of absence to fight corruption charges in April of 2015.

Lee Baca who was the Los Angeles Chief of Police until recently. He was also a Viking Aryan gang member with Tanaka. Chris Butler was another, as was Kemp Shiffer. (Kemp Shiffer only got a two year sentence by the way.)

Chris Butler was a Orange County police officer who opened a private investigator agency upon retirement. Kemp Shiffer was a Newport Beach officer who became an IRS agent. Kemp then took over the Mustang Ranch legal brothel when Joe Conforte lost it because of unpaid taxes. But because he was personally recruiting women from California and driving them to come work at the ranch as young as 16 years old “legally”, the IRS fired him. From there Kemp became an accounting instructor at the University of Reno. From there, he was recruiting students at the University to work at the brothels.

The Mexican and Columbia cartel started mixing drug and sex trafficking because the prostitutes were used to mule over drugs in their breast implants across the border. Those who didn't make the surgery were used for organ sales on the black market. Their cartel started trafficking women through Cantina's, bars and strip clubs. The Russian mob started trafficking their women through massage parlors and escort services. The same for the Triad with Asian women. These “ethnic rings” (I have no idea what else to call them) were offered “protection” through the Aryan's now in law enforcement, the prosecutor's office, judges' chambers, politicians, etc.

The perfect cover is to now be “fighting trafficking” while pursuing “outlaws”. That's sex workers who are not being pimped and/or trafficked but are working in the industry alone. Project Rose is a good example. Round up any prostitutes not having a pimp or trafficker – so they start working with these cartels for protection and to get their charges dropped or even records expunged. Attack Craigslist, Backpage, Erotic Review – all sites known for “outlaws” who are not working under a pimp or for the trafficking rings. Including the legal brothels. Make it so you can't work independently online – and the women become vulnerable to joining in with the trafficking rings. If you listen for example to the woman who survived the Craigslist Killer – she did not have a pimp and she was not trafficked - but was an “independent sex worker”.

One Asian trafficking ring had set up an operation that spanned the USA. This ring was again using police officers, marshal's, sheriff's, etc. to transport drugs, money needing laundering, guns, and the victims in the car. Drugs taken from evidence rooms was being resold through massage parlors where if anyone did get busted it would be the prostitute who would get busted – not them. The drugs were transported in evidence wrapping so if they got stopped, it's “evidence”. Also, the women were “witnesses” or being “transported to another jail”. The network of this operation spanned from San Diego, California, up to Las Vegas, then a straight shot across to Kentucky (as far as the transporting of items in the cop cars). From there the women were transported out to places like New York, Florida, Seattle, etc., by plane. THAT'S trafficking by the way.

We had gone to ATLAS, and the Las Vegas city council asking for a grant to hire a translator who spoke Mandarin because of how the Asian situation was set up in Las Vegas in 2007. Mandarin speaking cab drivers were picking up men from the airport who had tickets showing they had just come from China on them who also spoke Mandarin. Then they were taken to private homes used as brothels. There was no way to get these women out of the houses because they were on private property and no one was speaking Mandarin we knew – nor were any being hired by the trafficking task forces. Our calls to Bamboo Bridges to try and get a translator were left unanswered. They did have a fund raiser however.

Our “john sting” didn't work because they never sent these women out on an incall unless they were going to a man they “knew” because he'd already been screened by the cab drivers who spoke Mandarin We couldn't even send in a guy pretending to be a “john” unless we found a man speaking Mandarin who would fly in to China and then into Las Vegas. Impossible. Note here one of the owners who bought this cab/limo company was also a strip club owner. Why?

Because Rick Rizzlo wasn't the only club owner of strip clubs drugging their patrons and then maxing out their credit cards. Someone had to drive them home and if they had been put in a “strange” cab – the cab driver would have taken them to the hospital and probably made a report about repeatedly picking up drugged patrons at these clubs. While in jail – there was an accusation about Rick Rizzolo and Orange County sheriff Mike Corona who was illegally accessing a computer to get information on people and passing that information to Rick while in custody. Information on who? Don't know but I do know that he left a death on Buffalo Jim's car the day after Rick was released from jail. Buffalo Jim was then found dead with GHB in his system in a motel room supposedly that a hooker had been seen checking in with him.

Mike claimed he was doing this as a “sting” but I never found anything about charges related to such a thing. I did find an interesting article on the computer however. Jim's death was never prosecuted – but then then again the prosecutor at the time was on drugs.

Because we couldn't get the women out of those houses to freedom - we arranged for a friend who was a reporter to get a “ride along” with Metro to do a story. Then to press for a “surprise raid”. Which is what happened here - I got the call from Terri Miller of ATLAS and we were at the Salvation Army 20 minutes after the arrests where bags of drugs, 24 women, 4 men, and two cops were found at the house. The women were not held despite the fact they're not supposed to be released until ICE has processed them. They were released back to the pimps before again we could even get to the Salvation Army.

Previously, ATLAS had been structured to question every woman arrested for prostitution as to whether or not she was trafficked. After Operation Dollhouse, the Justice Dept. gave a $370,000 grant to “restructure” the task force in Las Vegas What that meant was that ATLAS would only work on cases referred to them by Metro. At the end of the year, this meant ATLAS had worked with ZERO victims. Our hotline that year processed 311 calls in Nevada alone from women needing help. Terri during the year refused to help us with any cases we'd call her about.

We were denied the grant for a translator, and ATLAS instead paid $80,000 for a billboard that at the end of the year brought in not one single call for help. The city council voted to spend $50,000 to pay for a new sign to the Olympic Garden strip club instead. When we went to Metro about this operation – we were ignored completely. When we went to Chief Gillispie – every operation but the Asian one was completely shut down in 24 hours. The walls on the inside of the houses they had been using were even washed down with bleach. All our evidence was gone overnight.

We even went to Auto Zone who was having these illegally stolen parts resold through their store – only to be told they didn't want the publicity of prosecuting the men responsible. Since our allegations against Chief Gillispie – he has since stepped down because of corruption charges. Chief Baca has also admitted to corruption in Los Angeles

The Asian ring would traffick women in the massage parlors and escort services in China while young. Then when over 40 years old, bring them to this country with promises of work and also under a marriage contract to an American. To buy back their contract, they would be forced to work at massage parlors dotting across the USA. Every month or so, they would be transported from one city to the next so as not to get too close to anyone. The women are promised if they “go along” their children will receive a college education here in the states they left back home in China. Back home where they could be threatened by these who were connected to the ring. Then the children were brought over here – they were used for recruiting, and even espionage, activities at USC and UCLA.

We've been going to the proper authorities about these cases, and others, to see what can be done to shut these operations down. This blog is giving you an update on these cases, and showing you how some of them intersect. Cleverly someone is reading our blog – because it seems everyone we're talking about is getting arrested or stepping down.

Here's the update on the “Operation Dollhouse” arrests. Now the women were here illegally according to this article They were working out of a private house with mattresses on the floor, where there was the smell of urine and cigarettes in the air. There were at least seven houses they found in this operation, and drugs were being sold to the customers through these women. The judge however said “this is not a case of human trafficking”.

Excuse me? What dictionary are these people using? I doubt this case would have even happened if not that I've been blogging about this case from 2007 on. Especially since one of the officers who was this house ran for public office after this raid “uncontested”. However, he did have someone who “started” to run – who reports being threatened into backing down. To save face, they've now railroaded two people who are saying “I'm not guilty” into jail, and I'm not hearing any evidence against them in this case. Trust me – not everyone in the ring was convicted and there are still members of this ring operating as we speak.

One officer heard what we were saying about “Operation Dollhouse” however in Kansas. So he started investigating local massage parlors. He reported that he was getting so much interference from other local officers, he decided to wait until he retired from the force, and then went to work for the zoning dept. From the zoning dept. he was able to gather the evidence to make these arrests in 2013 “stick”. Three people were found guilty and sentenced to five years. The victims thanked the court for their freedom. One spoke in the wheel taken down. Doesn't take down the operation however.

We had been continuing to talk about this ring because a victim who resides in Pasadena told us that she had told her traffickers she wanted to “retire”. She's been working since she was 8, and she was now in her 50's. The response she said was she was taken out of her home by two Pasadena police officers and then slapped with two fake prostitution charges. Then she was told if she didn't “get back to work” she would have a third, which would get her deported to China. Once in China, she'd receive the death penalty which could be arranged for her through their connection back there. Considering this article – anything is possible when a detective is bragging he can “frame someone for homicide”

This was in March of 2013 she told us this and we started writing about her plight. This arrest in 2015 of Liang Yaohui shows their connection back in China was not only a five star hotel owner, but also a member of the National People's Congress. Forty-seven other men were arrested with him. It's my understanding it's because the President of China has declared a war on corruption these arrests took place. They also detained over 1000 prostitutes according to the news.

But the heat was on. So what did they do? Switch from Chinese women to Korean women.

As we started blogging about these cases, and knocking on the authorities doors to have them speak with us about the evidence we had on these cases, I started having “johns” come to me saying that they were going into massage parlors, strip clubs, and even legal brothels, to be drugged, then once knocked out not only were their credit cards maxed out – but that they were going home to find out their other bank accounts were being hacked also.

When they would go back to the establishment – they would be told to “back off or else” face things like being fired, losing their marriages, etc., by these so called “legal” establishments filing stalking charges against them. Or further, taking any criminal charges to their bosses, their wives, business associates, press, etc. For those who ignored these threats, they were actually finding themselves charged with things like stalking, even gag orders. One man reported they had faked a photo of him standing outside one of their homes and the court took away his legally owned gun he needed for self-protection – leaving him defenseless. All said they were being threatened by cops and lawyers with criminal charges to force them to “back off” the money lost – when they were the ones who had been robbed.

I think we witnessed this in action in Las Vegas not long ago with Lamar Odom. The man was clearly overdosed on drugs – every organ in his body went into shutdown. He certainly didn't ingest that much drugs on his own. He was also left alone for an extended period of time despite the fact they said he was high when he arrived. This brothel should be sued for negligence at least. We heard he was missing $75,000 in cash that was in his pockets when he arrived – but then witnessed Nye County “considering drug charges against Lamar”.

Suddenly, we're not hearing a peep about the $75,000 and Lamar gets himself the heck out of Nevada. Not surprised Kloe got a staff infection after being at Sunrise. My mother died there of MRSA in 2006 and I've not heard of them doing a proper disinfection of the hospital since.

By the way, can anyone tell me why he was taken to Sunrise when the best trauma unit in the state is UMC? Roy was taken there after he almost had his head bit off by the tiger. If you ask me, it's because Sunrise has all of their records on computer. Meaning records can be altered and deleted at the push of a button. Again, I know because of what happened with my mother's death while there. NOTHING was kept on paper at that hospital – but UMC does keep paper records. Also, UMC is 20 minutes minutes closer than Sunrise to where the brothel is.

The ranch claims the $75,000 was his tab he “doesn't remember”. Chump change rather than face drug charges in Nevada which has some of the strictest penalties in the country. So we've witnessed probably what these men have been telling me is going on in this so called “legal” establishments.

Despite our track record here – I've not received one phone call, email nothing back from the Los Angeles Trafficking Task Force or Jim McDonnell. I was told by his assistants' that I had to first “wait until he got elected” to speak to him. Then it was “he had to be sworn in”. After that I heard he had to 'formulate his policy”. I asked if I could be a part of “formulating that policy” since I've been doing this kind of thing for 30 years – and got blown off. I've asked to be notified of when and where the meetings are only to be told “we don't have a head in charge yet” and again blown off.

Then I read that Merrill Ladenheim was named as the new “head” of this task force. An officer who was promoted by Lee Baca by the way to the Lakewood station. Ladenheim has reportedly sent out an email stating he was “supporting Paul Tanaka's campaign”. While I support Ladenheim's statement that children who are involved in prostitution should not be called a “prostitute” I do have a problem with the fact that the police report for 2015 for juvenile arrests for prostitution has a ZERO on it.

Why? Because HIV tests are only mandatory when there's an arrest. Meaning none of these juveniles are being tested for HIV. Is this important?

With Charlie Sheen's activities with prostitutes while knowing he was infected since 2011 – yes. It's unlikely if these juveniles have been tested for HIV on their own, they're report it to all they'd been with sexually. Sheen also admits spending $10 million to keep this status a secret and I doubt all of that was blackmail money. I don't think Charlie checked for ID at the door and some of these teens look like adults.

Without statistics on HIV infection in juvenile's in Los Angeles – there isn't going to be able to be appropriate planning for services. Now with Tijuana having a confirmed HIV epidemic among sex workers - China's having an epidemic - and Korea having an HIV epidemic also we kind of need to know if these juveniles who have been working as prostitutes, whether by force or not, are HIV positive. If you do the math also by just counting the massage parlors around you, then figuring these women are multiple contacts per day without protecting – we have a serious HIV problem brewing in this country right where the trafficking task forces are not going.

Kevin Brown was a retired Orange County officer also, who upon retirement claims to have “found God” and suddenly “wanted to save trafficking victims”. The so called “reality show” that came onto A&E with him was actually staged with women from an ad on Craigslist who were paid $200 to “pretend to be victims” to be “saved” by him. He did this in conjunction with Greg Reese, a private investigator from the OC at first who pulled out of the project before it aired. The address for “Side by Side” church however goes to some doctor's offices. His church was registered in 1994 – with sex trafficking not receiving federal recognition until 2000. Doesn't add up. Interesting side note – Kevin started this whole “campaign” of his just six months after Chris Butler's arrest. Polaris had even asked Kevin not to air their hotline on his show. There is considerable debate as to whether or not Kathryn Griffin-Townsend was involved as where the women were supposed to be taken.

But if it was all scripted – then they weren't really going anywhere. Eight hours after we served the station, and producers, with a “notice of intent to sue for defamation and fraud”, the show was canceled. What we wonder is if the whole thing was staged – what was he doing running around Orange County trying to find “Sweets” a 17 year old prostitute for? It's not like he was working with Children of the Night or anyone like that for that matter. If there was no rescue – then what was going on with these news articles talking about him knocking on motel room doors asking to speak to the prostitutes inside if not to help them? Again interesting note is this is how Chris Butler used to intimidate other local prostitutes who didn't work for him – he used to knock on their motel room doors and issue his threats. Also, why is D'lita Miller, the “consultant” on the show, also going by the name “Dee Tucker”?

Why am I concerned about Merrill's connection with Paul Tanaka as head of the trafficking task force working with juveniles? Because of allegations he skimmed money from a group home for foster kids for one. Also because of allegations he “obstructed an FBI investigation” One where a witness was “lost” within the jail system and the only person who has been charged so far is the guy who slipped this poor guy a phone to call for help?
Also in light of Tanaka's temper – he supposedly shot a Korean immigrant to death and then was put in charge of his own probe.

Is ANY OF THIS ANY WONDER WHY VICTIMS DON'T WANT TO CALL THE POLICE FOR HELP? Preferring to call our hotline instead? This blog is to show you the progress we're making on cases we're involved with, and also to show you why we exist in the first place.

We have tried filing complaints on behalf of our members. The one we filed against Lt. Karen Hughes was interesting. We were told it had to be filed with her supervisor, only she was the head of Vice. Then we were told the Chief – but she was the head of N. Las Vegas ALSO. Since we couldn't report her to her – we did find another Internal Affairs office for Clark County and made a report there. Didn't hear a peep about it until we got a call from IA saying she was “no longer an officer” and therefore “no investigation would be done”. However, other officers were involved with her from what we were told. When we asked about them – we received no response back from IA.

A woman we had helped to get out of a legal brothel told us the officer who was picking up the HIV tests weekly was drugging and raping her. We went to report him – we found out he was also the Chief. The Reno website said we had to “report it to the Chief” which was him. Not knowing who else to report it to – we reported it again to Clark County Internal Affairs. Then I read about this case out of Reno police -

We tried to reach the Chief of Pasadena police about what this Pasadena victim told us. Only to not receive any response for months after numerous attempts. During this time, I myself received a threat from another officer other than one of the two who supposedly drug her out of her home to “back off” or “face a stalking charge”.

We then went over the Chief's head when he wouldn't answer me – and suddenly we started getting three calls a day asking us to “come down to speak to him in person”. I gave him information on how her case was connected to the Wichita arrests, and told him I'd come in after he got their files so he'd know what I was talking about with him. After two weeks of him calling my house three times a day asking to “come in the station” – I contacted Wichita's people only to be told “no one from Pasadena has asked us for any records”.

At the same time, a woman I didn't know nor spoke to before, Meg Munoz of Abeni, connected to the OC Human Trafficking Task Force, starts fabricating a 5150 and stalking accusation against me. A side note, the Pasadena Chief of Police resides in Orange County. Now I'm not even talking to this woman and don't even know her! Suddenly it hits me that if I go walking into the Pasadena station while she's making these charges – I'm likely to get carted off like Sandra Bland. No thank you.

I don't need to physically go into the station to discuss this case. I then asked to discuss her case by phone – and suddenly communications stopped again. There has been a report ordered into the station already by a judge. A report Kamala Harris said would be “reviewed by Erwin Chemersky – professor of UC Irvine Law”. I asked him about the report and he said “what report?”

Bottom line – if what I'm talking about with respect to the cases we're working on were “figments of my imagination” then why are all these people being arrested for doing what I've been saying they were doing before the arrests? I doubt it's all coincidence and clearly someone is reading our blogs. I say that because I've also been saying that we're witnessing Iran Contra 2.0 – meaning that I see the CIA has been using this movement as a cover for their own ends in the identical manner as they did in the 1980's with Iran Contra then.

Then this came out in Slate - Every problem I've run into since 2013 has either been connected to the Hunt Foundation, Exodus Cry, or groups and people connected to the Family Research Council. So no – I”m not “imagining things”. Even Michael Horowitz, the author of the Trafficking Act of 2000 – says this movement has been “hijacked”.

I will say this – in trying to find some investigator who might return our calls about what our members are reporting to us to help shut down some trafficking rings, I noticed the name of Claude Arnold coming up a lot in connection with Triad cases. I'm thinking “clearly he's not afraid of these guys”. Fake marriage, maternity motels - and counterfeit items and child trafficking I'm reading this thinking “this Claude is kicking ass”.

So I go to try and find a way to reach him in order to talk to him on behalf of these victims. Only to find in December of 2015 he now is working for a police auction company and is no longer an agent. I am trying to find out if this is the same auction company owned by Don Haidi. Don was the father of a young man accused of raping, and then videotaping the rape, of a 16 year old girl. He was also an Orange County Assistant Sheriff involved in a corruption charge against Mike Corona, friend of Rick Rizzolo. It appears the rape was in 2002. It also states her rapists “spent millions to humiliate her”.

After my letter to A&E and Relativity Media resulted in “8 Minutes” being taken off the air, a woman who is living under the name of a dead woman set up the website at designed to humiliate me. After 30 years of operating our program without one complaint, I don't think I suddenly turned into this person the site is portraying me to be.

Especially since not one member of our program has made one comment on the site. I've had others report they've tried to post compliments which have not been published. It's clearly a smear site. I'd like to add this was a 16 year old rape victim these men were paying millions to humiliate. I'm also a disabled volunteer working at SWA who is caring for my daughter who has a brain tumor.

Meaning these men are complete sociopaths and gives us an idea about who has been working in the Orange County legal system. I will repeat again, is this any wonder why victims of sex trafficking in Orange County would be reluctant to trust the police, or want to turn to them for help when trafficked or threatened? If a judge doesn't trust the prosecutors – I ask you do you think they feel if they did make a report they'd have a fair day in court? If a 16 year old rape victim was treated this way when she was raped by the son of a cop – how would someone think they'll be treated if they make a report against someone like Chris Butler?

This is all the more reason why (1) our hotline and program is crucial and life-saving, and (2) why most of these victims are not going to call the National Trafficking Hotline who would in turn take their report to the Orange County Human Trafficking Task Force – headed up by the OC sheriff, the OC district attorney's office, etc.

Especially if in trying to get help to them I'm either can't get a return phone call, or I get threatened! Looking at the progress we've made though – someone is listening and these people are being brought to justice and bit by bit the traffickers are being shut down. We could do a lot more however if we had a little more cooperation and communication with the authorities. Can someone tell me when something is done to clean house here?

Anyway, this is our progress report. Is it any wonder I've been told those in law enforcement aren't too happy with us? Problem is – that sounds like people on the side of the traffickers and not the victims however does it?

I posted a link to our letter to the Office of Public Safety on the Seattle Against Slavery facebook page.  I then had a woman on their page come at me saying I had written a "hate op".  I posted her comment and mine on the previous blog.  Then I received a letter from Robert Beiser, the Executive Director of Seattle Against Slavery.  Below is my response to him:

Dear Robert:

Yes we have a chapter in Seattle. We have had a chapter in Seattle actually since 1988 - a year after we launched our hotline and program.

I'm not sure if you're aware of this, but when you first formed your program I reached out to you to make contact.  I did so because I know some of the challenges survivors face obviously - such as trying to find work with a prostitution record.

That's why we have developed quite a list of employers we know are versed in this type of thing and gladly hire survivors even with a record.  The same for landlords.  We also have some SWA members who even make a point of hiring other survivors because they know it can be a challenge not only because of a criminal record, but also to explain the lack of work history.

As well as a list of employers, and landlords, we have a list of attorney's who donate their time to help survivors.  They don't broadcast the fact publicly because many attorney's who help survivors are then targeted by the traffickers for harassment - especially if the survivor was a minor when trafficked and was dealing with pedophiles who have quite an organized ring going on in this country who try and attack any lawyer who can assist these survivors not only with things like record expungment, but also coming after them for prosecution.

Survivors are also arrested for prostitution many times before being rescued. Since we're a 12 step program, there's no point in going to jail when the court has the discretion to allow them to attend our program under laws grandfathered in by AA and NA.  Also, when the judge allows this, we routinely then follow up with the court at the end of their term to show the court their progress.  It's at this time we then ask for a record expungment.  To date, each person who has asked the court for this "alternative to sentencing" and then we've in turn asked for expungment  - we've been granted it.

Now in a few cases we've seen the person decide to go back into sex work, which also usually leads them back to drugs.  In cases where we've had someone court ordered into our meetings as an alternative to jail - we report this to the court who in turn then un-suspends their sentence.   Then they will put them into a residential drug treatment program where they can be more 24/7 care.  In a few cases, the judge has insisted on some type of residential treatment as an alternative to incarceration.  In those cases, we have residential programs we work with where we make arrangements to pick them up from jail (where they're usually being held because they can't make bail), drive them to the residential program, and there they also have weekly meetings of our program.  Then at the time of their graduation - we return back to court with them to report on their progress.

Many survivors have severe PTSD, DID, bipolar disorder, Stockholm Syndrome, and some are even brainwashed.  Some have contracted serious diseases such as HIV/AIDS, Hep C, TB, HPV, fibrmyalgia, and chronic fatigue syndrome are some we see most commonly.  For them, we have therapists, and doctors, we know of who are not only specifically trained in how to effectively work with our issues, who may be willing to donate their services if the survivor doesn't have insurance, and some are even survivors themselves.

Not thinking you would have these resources when you first opened up your program - that's why I reached out to your group when I first heard you opened.  I have Google keyword alerts that alert me when programs open like when yours did.  I have no idea who I sent an introduction email out to back then - but I honestly don't remember getting any response.

So I had no idea you were working on this Bill.  No one put me on your email or newsletter list either when I wrote it.  You probably wouldn't know of who our local members are because a great majority of our members are members because they value their "anonymity".   Meaning while we have a Seattle chapter - I am the one who sends out the introduction letters in order to protect the anonymity of our local members from outsiders.

Our members want to remain anonymous most of the time with good reason.  One of our members had worked as a counselor for the inmates at the jail up there in Seattle for over 12 years without one blemish on her record.  The minute however one of her associates leaked she was a survivor of sex trafficking, specifically porn in her case, she was fired.  Her boss said it was "unacceptable" that she be a counselor working with inmates being that her photos had appeared in Hustler.  It seems that we have a long way to go before many people realize that one can be just as forced to do porn as prostitution.

When I formed our program, I didn't want it to be about one segment of  the sex industry or type of person.  For example, Narcotics Anonymous is not just for a junkie.  NA is for the suburban housewife who is prescribed diet pills as well as the junkie who robs his grandmother so he can shoot up heroin in alley's.  As I'm sure you are aware, sex trafficking victims go through many different paths before they finally leave.  Very rarely do victims "just" prostitute.  Many have been involved in stripping, pornography, webcam work, phone sex, and even madaming.  I myself was recruited to work as a madam so the pimps that came after me could sit back and get high on cocaine which was popular back in the 1980's.

Also, as you know, just getting them out isn't the whole thing.  First of all, over 98% of them relapse back to the sex industry if their issue's aren't properly addressed in recovery.  Some of which include brainwashing and  Stockholm Syndrome.  This is why statistically almost every sex trafficking victim will return to the sex industry on their own shortly after they've been rescued.  Then once they're back in the industry - they become prone to being trafficked again.

As you may have seen in my letter to Washington, I went through different forms of trafficking myself.  The warehouse I'd set up as a safe house didn't work on it's own because I found that every single woman I'd rescue from her pimp would return to the sex industry, and maybe even another pimp, anywhere from one day to six months after I'd helped free them.  Then there's the issue of drug and alcohol abuse.  Many victims can be rescued from sex trafficking - but their addiction isn't addressed.   If they continue drinking and/or using to cope with their emotions - then connecting to the drug world will often suck them right back up into sex work, which can then find them trafficked again.

This is part of the reason why I chose a 12 step format for our program - and why I also realized we needed a program and not just the "rescue".  I was getting these women out long before I started our 12 step program and letting them stay in the warehouse until they could get on their feet, only they kept going back either to the same pimp, or a different one.  I couldn't figure that out until I started taking some psychology classes that helped me to understand that "getting them out" wasn't a program.

But what "program"?  I had spent five years myself looking for some type of "program" or system to help me get out of the sex industry to no avail.  I had scoured the country.  I had gone to the UCLA research library which was the best in the country and found that every single program that had existed before trying to help us get out of the sex industry had failed.  That included faith based programs.

Now in researching them, I found that pre-existing programs weren't addressing the sex trafficking.  They were pretty much writing everything off as the drugs.  When a woman would be freed from a pimp but return the next day to him - it was written off as her chasing after the drugs.  But even Catharsis, which was a program to help women leave the sex industry, which didn't view this issue as a drug addiction had failed also.

I didn't want us to repeat history and fail those coming to us for help.  So when we launched the first hotline in this country I needed to be a "one size fits all".  I didn't want to turn any one away because that could kill them.

In order to do that, I had to get a broad view of what we all were dealing with so we could help whoever called.  It's one thing to be helping women in Los Angeles like I'd done with the safe house I'd set up - but it's another to launch a national hotline that's going to go out from coast to coast.

So we went out and did a survey of 2000 male and female prostitutes who were incarcerated, and another 2,000 who were not.  Out of those who were not incarcerated, we made sure to survey those who worked in legal and illegal prostitution, as well as porn, stripping, madaming, and any form of sex work we could find.  It was important to us for example to interview those who did drugs as well as those who never touched a drug or a drop of booze.   We interviewed those with children, and those without.  We interviewed those who had graduate degrees as well as those who had not finished high school.  We interviewed those who had mental illness such as DID and/or bipolar disorder as well as those who were completely fine.  It was important to us to be able to create a program that would serve ALL needs.  I wanted us to be able to help that streetwalker who had a pimp on one arm and a needle in the order, just as much as I wanted to help the escort who was driving up to our meeting in a Lamborgini (true story), as well as the Playboy Bunny (which we have an interview up with one at

So I appreciate your work on HB2668 with respect to members of your group - but it's not going to only affect members of your group.  Especially since if it's adopted - it will probably be duplicated in other states.  Once a trafficking Bill passes in on state - it goes on to be duplicated pretty much word in another.  Then we have Canada, and other countries.

It's also going to affect members of our program which in turn is going to affect us with respect to how we can, or can not, help them.  Members of SWA who aren't going to go testify at Congress.  Members who may be a part of Seattle Against Slavery, but don't want to "rock the boat" and speak their objections for reasons I"m sure you saw on your page when I brought up the Bill.  I mean that is how the law is going to be written correct?  Not just for Seattle Against Slavery clients - but for ALL survivors which includes members of our program.

I'm not sure why that woman attacked me, but I've gotten used to it. For some reason I don't understand, when we encounter survivors with other groups who are not also members of SWA at the same time, we seem to be attacked for some reason I don't understand like we're not on the same side here.  It goes beyond them attacking us when we speak to them like about this Bill - we have been having them attack us to the point where we've had to take down our online chat room, disable our members area on our website, and we've had to instruct members to remove all references to even belonging to SWA off their social media because of the attacks our members were encountering by other survivors who are not a part of SWA.  It's like everyone wants to go "testify at Congress" which is not something we generally do since we "have no opinion on outside issues".

However, when some members came to me and showed me the Bill they pointed out that HB2668 is an "inside" issue and does affect us since we have been a part of the expungment process for many survivors in many states now, and the number of those we are is growing constantly.

In fact, as it's written it creates a lot of potential problems for us, and survivors across the board, and that's why we wrote to the committee directly.  We also wrote to them directly because we do know we introduced ourselves to you when you first opened your doors and if you had wanted our input - you would have asked for it before now.  But you didn't. However, this letter does have a certain "tone" to it like you're the only group up there working with survivors and you are not.  We are also working with them in Seattle, and numerous states across the USA, with that number again growing constantly.  In fact, we just added two new meetings to our directory last week.  One in Florida, and the other in Culver City, California.  At the moment, we have chapters in at least 20 states, and six other countries.  Our database of active members shows 190,000 entries worldwide.

Now I did not attack your Bill.  I did not attack anyone in your program.  However, we sure did get our face ripped off by a woman connected to your program and I fail to see why.  That Bill is something that's going to affect ALL survivors, and it's also going to affect our work with survivors.  However we were not consulted and I'm pretty sure that you were made aware of our existence as I said when you first launched.

No our members don't broadcast they are members because it's an ANONYMOUS program.  This also means they're not going to sign their names to letters, nor get up at town hall meetings, or other such public events and identify as a survivor.  Our members tend to do quite well in their recovery.  Realize we've been around since 1987 - meaning some of our members have put themselves through medical and law school, some have become professors, some have become journalists, therapists, social workers, etc. and risk a great deal of issues should their past come out.  I need to point out here the Trafficking Act of 2000 wasn't passed until the year 2000.  Some of our members again have been with us since day one in 1987 - meaning when we first started this whole thing we were viewed as either "criminals" or "deviants" NOT "survivors" nor "heroes".

Things have swung a great deal the other way because when I first started doing TV appearances to speak out as a survivor, and to demand this country recognize this was real, and to push for recognition of it being real, and to have the things we have today like task forces - I used to come home and not find awards but instead find eviction notices, pink slips from work and the word "whore" spray painted over the hood of my car. So some of our members have built a life where no one knows about their past.  Some still have their pimp out there looking for them and choose to remain underground.  The sad truth is not everyone "gets" what sex trafficking even is yet.  Meaning we had not only our Seattle member fired who was working at the jail - but we've seen others also not treated so well when the truth came out about their past.

Last year, there was a school teacher whose pimp leaked porn photos of her from 10 years ago and there went her teaching job.  I'm sure you're well aware these pimps, if not incarcerated, and/or if others in their network aren't incarcerated, they'll do everything they can to find their victim, get them fired, evicted, and otherwise pushed into a corner where they can the re victimize them again.

Something again I'm quite familiar with.  When I had left the "family" as they liked to call themselves, I went out and got myself a waitress job.  I had no money, rent was due, and no food in the house.  So I got myself a job at a coffee shop where I could get tips and eat.  I was mysteriously fired three days later.  I got another waitress job and was fired shortly after I was hired again.  This went on for a few months until I had worked at literally every restaurant in Los Angeles.  I then yes got so broke and hungry that I called this "family" and I asked if I could come back - thinking that this was me making that call.

Only once I got into recovery I got a strange phone call.  One of the men had gotten himself into AA where he reached the point where he had to "make amends".  So he called me to confess that they would find out where I was working through informants, and then they would go visit the restaurant owner.  They would then threaten to burn the place down if they didn't fire me knowing that when I got broke enough - I'd come running back to them.

Which again is why I bring up the fact that some people may overlook - and that's that if their pimp, or someone in his network, is still out there looking for them then if they set a court date to expunge their records that can trigger software they have set up to scan for them online and voila!  The pimp then knows she's going to be in the Seattle courthouse on such and such date with judge so and so.

When you "spoke with members of Seattle Against Slavery" for this Bill - you were not speaking to survivors who choose to remain anonymous, nor were you speaking to someone who has been working with record expungment of victims for over 30 years now.  Meaning we might just have a different view on things than you do.

Which is why for example I'd like to see discussed on this Bill the fact that putting their name on the court docket which appears online in today's world could trigger someone looking for them to know where they are going to be and this could harm, even possibly kill them.  So I wanted to suggest that something be added in there for that reason that maybe the survivor could apply under a Jane Doe as some domestic violence and stalking victims do.
I also know how many of our members have rang up domestic violence charges defending themselves, and their children.  So when I saw on this Bill about the domestic violence exclusion - I think we should talk about modifying this obviously.  Especially if the domestic violence was related to the sex trafficking because in the 30 years I've been doing this all over this country, Canada, and other states, I've seen it tends to go hand in hand.  Especially for the adults who were protecting their children.

Now forgive me if I'm wrong - but if I remember correctly your program is only a few years old.  It only operates in the Seattle area, it only works with females, and I don't know if you've ever actually been involved in an expungment  case for a survivor.  However, we have.  We've been doing this as I said before since we launched in 1987, and we've been doing it in many states within the USA, as well as Canada, and in some other countries as well.   Meaning that yes we might have a different viewpoint than you on a few points but that doesn't mean we think you're "wrong" or the bill is "bad".

Most of the reason why we formed a 12 step program and started this movement was because we felt it was horrible that these men, women and children, who were being forced to work in the sex industry were being arrested and treated like criminals.  Then because of their record, it was making it virtually impossible for them to leave.  Again, these are issues we've been helping our members with since day one but would like to see the day when we don't have to deal with it at all.

Yes we've like to see it easier to get record expungment.  But of course it would be ideal if it were decriminalized.  Then there wouldn't be a record to deal with at all.  But as Edwin Meese told us in 1986 - that day isn't coming in our lifetime.  So we have to work with what we've got with respect to our legal system for now.

Meaning we'd like to discuss NOT having to prove one was trafficked to get the records expunged.  First, if one could prove they were trafficked in the first place - there wouldn't be a conviction.  I've been a part of literally 1000's of men and women's stories who have been arrested, some trafficked, and some not, and I can assure you that if they could prove they were forced when they first got arrested they would have.  Again, I point you to my case.  The DA only charged me because he wanted me to "snitch" on someone else.  I was being threatened back then by men so powerful that I knew if I opened my mouth - both my mother and myself would be dead if not my grandmother and dog also.

So - what about those cases?  What about the cases where the victim was in a trafficking situation but only took a charge because they didn't want to prosecute their trafficker for fear of their lives?  How are they supposed to "prove" trafficking on a plea bargain they took which they took because they were in fear of their lives?

Also, how would you prove trafficking on an old case?  The only way I know of would be to hire a private investigator to start and those aren't cheap.  The last time I heard a quote it was $1500 to start.  Then after you get the proof, if you can, then you have to hire an attorney.  There goes another $1500 plus for a retainer.  Now I can assure you that a survivor who can't find work because of their record is going to have a really hard time with this law coming up with that kind of money on a "maybe".  It's a "maybe" because there's no guarantee they can come up with the proof years down the road.

Listen, I once took a trafficking case to the Las Vegas Chief Doug Gillispie with a bow on it.  I had the names, addresses, phone numbers, license plates, phone records, receipts, photos, witness statements, and absolutely everything needed to prove there was the trafficking ring operating in this country connected to Chris Butler.  This was before he was arrested.  I even had a map of where the stops where in this trafficking network where they were picking up the drugs, and dropping off the victims, and other things like stolen car parts they'd steal off the "johns" cars while they were inside with the prostitutes.

Within 24 hours after I dropped this file off with the Chief - everything was shut down, cleared out, and buttoned up.  I was told by one of the victims that someone showed up and everyone and everything was cleared out.  They not only moved all of the furniture and cars out of the homes and businesses - but they had cleaned the inside and out of the buildings with bleach even to remove any DNA.  We weren't able to do anything about Chris until we got a male agent of his to agree to go to the press because clearly going to the police wasn't working.

The same with "Operation Dollhouse".  That was part of the Chris Butler operation - only everything - the victims, the drugs, the stolen car parts, the guns, everything had been cleaned out and wiped out in less than 24 hours after we went to the police with information on this trafficking operation.  So clearly we couldn't go to the police - so we tried again with the media.  We knew there'd be a drop in Vegas on a certain date, so a reporter friend of ours arranged a "ride along".  Then he pushed for a raid - and voila!  There were 24 victims, baggies full of drugs, and two cops sitting right there.

What happened?  NOTHING. The police let the women go home with the pimps 20 minutes later and the case against the cops was dismissed.  Now Chris Butler, and one other officer has been arrested.  But I can assure you Robert that the women who were trafficked in that operation were trafficked by more than just Chris and that other cop.  Remember, they were stealing drugs out of the evidence rooms and reselling them through the massage parlors.

Now I know for a fact some of those women were arrested for prostitution.  Some of the women arrested for prostitution were arrested because they were "competition" to Chris.  So I ask you - how are they going to "prove" they were trafficked when to do so would open up a case against other cops?  It's not going to happen.  They would be embarking on a futile path and they'd be very likely to get themselves harmed, if not killed, for digging up these sleeping dogs.

What about this case that has been in Seattle news recently about the "League"?  I know for a fact that ring is connected to a case I've been working on for almost three years now which has convictions also in Wichita, Kansas.    I got involved when a victim came to me asking for help with her criminal record.  She had just gotten a realtor's license and wanted to quit working in prostitution and become a realtor.  She was sold into this ring when she was 8 years old by her mother and she is now in her 50's.

Only when she told them she wanted to quit - two Pasadena police officers drug her out of her home and she was slapped with two fake prostitution charges.  She was then told if she didn't get back to work, she'd be deported back to China where their connection there would see to it she'd get the death penalty.  Now this was two years before Liang Yaohui was arrested showing they had such a connection.

Before I could expunge her records, I had to see if this claim of false arrest was true.  So we got one of our volunteer attorney's to pull her records.  He then requested her booking video.  This would show whether she was in fact arrested or not  The minute he ordered this booking video - he received a threat from the Pasadena station and an attorney.

The victim was then told by this same attorney he had been hired by her traffickers and he had cleared her record - so she "had nothing to worry about".  I then pulled her records and they had not been cleaned.  When I sent her a copy to show her this - I was then threatened by a Pasadena officer and the attorney to "back off" or I'd be charged with stalking her.

The officer who got the convictions in Wichita didn't have an easy time of it.  He had been trying to get an arrest since 2005 but kept getting other cops interfering who were on the payroll of the traffickers.  He got some arrests in 2009 but they didn't hold.  So he waited until he retired, then got a job with the zoning department.  From the zoning department, he was able to get enough evidence to arrest them again.  This time it held but they threatened his life and the life of the judge.  Yes a few women in Wichita went free.

But the head was on them now so the ring started trafficking women from Korea.  One of their stops is Seattle. There was a few arrests a few week ago and they dubbed this ring the "League".  But I know the ring itself is still operating by moving the women from city to city, and that they reside in Pasadena.

Now this is a real case I'm describing to you here.  So let me ask you - how is SHE supposed to get a record expungment based on PROVING she was trafficked?  Especially since I'm still trying to find someone to even take a report about the cop who threatened me - let alone her having her record being two cases that were faked by a department which by the way has BRAGGED they can "frame anyone for homicide they want"?

Which again is why we've tried to stick in our expungment work to showing the court that this person has "changed".  We show them rent receipts for a year showing they've been paying their rent on time.  We show them they've been employed for a year, and get a letter from their employer.  We show them community service, they've been staying clean, and going to some type of church, temple, or other spiritual center for growth, as well as counseling and volunteer records.

I will have a better chance at expunging this woman in Pasadena's records this way than I would by "proving" trafficking. Especially since I can assure you any "proof" she would come up with this other attorney I'm sure would move to have it silenced under some right to privacy or some other legal tactic.

Now again I know you're talking about Seattle - but these things again have a tendency to be duplicated in other states which is why I'd like to register what our members have to say on this issue now.  I appreciate you reaching out to me very much and I'm here any time you'd like to talk more about this, or anything else with respect to sex trafficking.

I'd like to see us not receive such an antagnostic response from the other survivors in your program in the future.  It is this type of thing as to why our members don't exactly announce their membership in our program for one thing, nor are they likely to voice any "countering" opinions to anything in groups like yours.  I say that because as a 12 step program - we encourage our members to voice their opinions and feelings no matter how diverse they might be.  In fact, we encourage it.

Each 12 step program has it's own "issues".  For example, alcoholics have to learn how to go to social events where alcohol is served without relapsing like weddings, bar mitzvahs, bachelor parties, even many fund raisers these days serve alcohol.   With our members, we've been met with a backhand whenever we disagree with the people in charge of us.  With our "johns" we had to play along like we agreed with them also or we didn't get tipped well.  So we make a point in our program of encouraging our members' to therefore identify their feelings and opinions and express them, even when they differ with the others and we value and respect them sharing with us.

Other groups however tend to have a certain goal they're working for, and in your program those with a dissenting view tend to be shut out, if not outright attacked.  Want to see a fight break out?  Have someone in one of your meetings identify themselves as a SWA member and see what happens next.   Why?  I don't know.
Especially since when the press release came out you were launching Seattle Against Slavery I sent out an introduction and offered to be involved in what you were doing which frankly would have avoided this discussion we're having altogether.  We could have been having this discussion between us before it reached this point.  So you'd have to tell me why we were cut out of the loop here because I don't know why.

Now if you can show me how this Bill doesn't have these issues within it I've pointed out - great.  Please explain to me.  Because I've been a paralegal for the 30 years I've been out of the sex industry, and I've been involved in a lot of legislature writing, and that's what it appears like to me.

I mean if you can show me how this Pasadena woman can expunge her records until your Bill - I"m all for it.  Until then, I've got the issues with it I expressed earlier I'd like to see addressed.

Thank you for your time.
