ATTACK THE PIMP - NOT THE VICTIM
Why am I see a protest against J Lo when it's supposedly Dr. Lucas that raped Kesha? Now granted, Kesha could be making up these accusations to get out of her contract. It would be a horrible thing to do if she is - so one needs to examine the patterns.
What do the other women have to say against Dr. Lucas? Well it seems Lady Gaga's mother claims she was also raped by Dr. Lucas. A claim that Lady Gaga has supposedly denied. However, I have to be honest here and say that Lady Gaga doesn't look like she's clean to me. Meaning when someone is using drugs they'll say whatever they got to say to keep their connection open. Meaning if, just if, Dr. Lucas was connected to her drug connection then she's not giving that up for no one. Oh sure she'll stand up and do a number at the Oscars - but I don't see she's arrested anyone for assaulting her. Meaning her rapist is still at large who is "20 years her senior". Shame on you Lady Gaga by the way for allowing your rapist to walk about without a least a sign hung on him to warn others about him. You want me to applaud you for singing a song about abuse while you haven't charged or even named your abuser? Nope. Not going to happen. I at least extracted my revenge on my rapists and molesters. I at least went on national TV and named my father as a child abuser on Geraldo.
So please explain to me why people are organizing a protest and boycott against J Lo's song? How does taking money away from her help Kesha? I don't see Dr. Lucas being named directly because he's threatening defamation. Oh boo hoo. It's only enforceable if you can prove it's not true and if you can prove it's damaged his career and finances. I don't think Lady Gaga would run out of money on that one if she wanted to name her attacker.
But I look at the movie "Enough" and frankly I think J Lo has already told us what she thinks needs to be done about certain people. Not just rapists and men who abuse women - but men who have enough power to send people after you. Men who have "fixers" like we've seen on Ray Donovon on Showtime who we know is based on real people. There is nowhere to run from certain people that have as much money and power as Sony does. Which is why I think J Lo was using that movie to send a message. During the filming of "Enough" J Lo went out and she learned to kick some serious ass. When caught in a dark alley or a brightly lit boardroom - J Lo knows how to defend herself. This kitty got claws!
Prince believe it or not taught us what to do when Sony tells you that you don't own your own name! He went out and became "the artist formerly known as Prince" and created a whole new campaign around having a symbol for an unspoken name! I then saw him on an interview show not long after where he said "I sold my own music for $50 a pop and sold 300,000 sets. You do the math. I don't need Sony".
Enough said.
So ladies please. Don't boycott J Lo's music when she's already shown us a solution here. Stop attacking other women when they're not the predators. Attack the predators. Find a way to stick it to Dr. Lucas or better yet Sony for not firing his butt. Warner Brothers fired Charlie Sheen. So this is on Sony.
