FOSTER CARE FOR LGBT SEX TRAFFICKING VICTIMS

Do you have any idea how unsafe foster care is for an LGBT youth who is also a sex trafficking victim?  Help create a safe place for them run by survivors who can support and protect them as they grow up and recover.  https://www.gofundme.com/foster-home-for-lgbt-youth

LETTER TO EMILY SMITH ABOUT KRAFT CASE IN FLORIDA

Dear Emily - about the Kraft case  https://nypost.com/2019/02/28/how-patriots-owner-robert-kraft-could-get-off-in-prostitution-case/- this REEKS of the same m/o used against victims in "Operation Dollhouse". Speaking as the person who created the modern day domestic sex trafficking movement, and who is the reason why the Trafficking Act of 2000 was even passed (we raised awareness for 13 years about this being very real in modern America and the need for federal recognition and we coordinated the people who wrote and passed the Act such as Michael Horowitz, the author of the Trafficking Act you can read more about at www.hightechmadam.com ), I started the movement to have trafficking victims recognized as victims while also being a co-founder of COYOTE.  No industry professional wants to see someone being trafficked.  Worse, treated like a criminal when you're trying to get them help.  That was our problem in the 70's and 80's - when we'd try and get help

LETTER TO SALON MAGAZINE'S MARY ELIZABETH WILLIAMS RE: MIRA SORVINO

Dear Mary Elizabeth Williams: I read in your article on Mira about how she's political active.  https://www.salon.com/2018/11/09/mira-sorvino-worried-shed-be-blackballed-over-metoo-instead-we-were-the-tip-of-a-tidal-wave/  What I'm not hearing however is the voices of the actual sex trafficking victims she's supposedly representing.  SHE'S getting the phone calls in that WE'RE being blocked from making - so I ask you WHO exactly is the voice she's representing? Our hotline at www.sexworkersanonymous.net was founded in 1987 - YEARS before we helped to get the Trafficking Act of 2000 passed which gave sex trafficking a name and federal recognition.  In those 30 years, I've answered over 500,000 calls from victims - five times more calls than all calls that have come into the National Trafficking Hotline to date.  We have the largest, and oldest, program of survivors, again who if we hadn't gone on TV for 13 years proving that sex tr

SWOP FUND RAISERS FOR LEGAL FEES FOR PROSTITUTES

I've been seeing SWOP up promoting fund raisers for "legal fees" for women involved in the sex industry.  Speaking as someone who has been a paralegal for 32 years now, and as someone who has been involved in over 34 years now of legal cases across the country involving prostitutes - I feel the need to weigh in here.  Because I was arrested myself in 1984.  You can read about the case hitting the news at www.hightechmadam.com   Now at that time, I had a family friend who was an attorney who stepped in to help me.  Now, had I RETAINED an attorney for cash - that attorney would have had his bank account frozen, he would be audited  by the IRS and law enforcement, he would probably be considered for felony charges for "receipt of earnings from a known prostitute" and he might have been disbarred.  He wasn't.  The attorney I had helping me didn't suffer these things because he was doing these things as a favor for a family friend.  In 1984, every other m
